In short: thoroughly enjoyable
In full: As my first ever race i found it thoroughly enjoyable. Particularly enjoying the supportive atmosphere created by the other runners, marshals and locals. This was coupled with a good boost at the end from the supportive spectators and a commentator offering words of encouragement as you crossed the finish line. The course was slightly slippery in parts and narrow but with no other races to compare it with i assumed hazards like this were probably the norm.

In short: Good Local Event, Well Organised
In full: This was my first 10k and thoroughly enjoyed it. Found the canvey wind and uneven pathway along the seawall a challenge but the event was well marshalled with lots of support from the locals along the way.It would help if markers where in KM's rather than miles especially for a novice like me but other than that well organised. Will be back next year for another go!

In short: Good local event. Good marshalling.
In full: Good local event. Good marshalling.

Course although flatish, slightly difficult under foot as you run the seawall. Canvey wind not too bad and the rain stayed away.

In short: Good estuary views and small field of runners
In full: Despite having misgivings over the weather conditions (that Canvey wind) and running along the seawall (narrow, slippery and a few surprised dog walkers), I really enjoyed this run and achieved PB this year.

The support and policing around the course was great and having the local mayor handing out the finishers medals was a really nice touch.

The course was well marshalled except at the entrance to the school where you had one guy trying to direct traffic and runners at the same time. I narrowly missed getting run over!

Well done to the organisers and sponsors for putting on a excellent day.

In short: Well organised pleasant race
In full: Very nice small local race that was well organised and without any major problems

Good course along seawall so very flat but fairly narrow in places and slightly uneven.

Markers in miles for some reason rather than KM's

Very good value and well worth doing

In short: Flat, scenic route, off raid for most of it, nice course
In full: This is a flat course but is not a PB course due to running on grass and the sea wall. It's very well organised, bottled water, PA announcements, tea etc. The other factor that makes this a slow course is the wind! the Canvey Island wind!!

In short: Thoroughly enjoyable, lovely marshalls
In full: Enjoyed that. Well organised and flat, along the sea wall. Lovely encouragement by the marshalls and the people outside their houses. Will def do again.
