In short: Well-organised race with challenging surface and sea winds In full: Really enjoyed this route (some nice views of the sea and the rattle of boat-sails) though it's definitely tough on the times: lots of gravel, some uneven grass paths and really big sea winds coming on and off the island. The 10K attracted about 100 runners and there were three water stations, which was good -- but they used bottles which seemed inefficient compared to cups. Hope they cleared them all up.
Also the markers were a bit weird: 5 miles and 6 miles but nothing before that (and weird to do it in miles too). Luckily I knew this from previous reviews so wasn't too thrown but it's worth keeping in mind. Date of review: September 11, 2011
