In short: A good 10 miler In full: A challenging run that kept the hills till the end - nice move! I have to agree with previous comments about the start - being a mid-packer (who got to the middle of the pack) I wasn't affected, but I can imagine the front runners were a bit put out. Everything else, however, was well organised and encouragingly marshalled. Thank you. Date of review: June 7, 2005
In short: Watch out for the hills in the second half In full: Very enjoyable race in some of Surrey's finest countryside. The first long hill at mile 7 was "fun" and I had some energy for it, the following ones at 8 and 9 (o.k so they weren't that bad, but I had run the first half too fast!)were less so. Still, my first 10 miles race so a PB nonetheless. Date of review: June 7, 2005
In short: Scenery really makes the race In full: A lovely run and not as hilly as you might expect. Very well-marshalled. The only downside was some of the inconsiderate motorists on the narrow lanes. Maybe some "caution runners" signs would be useful in future events? Date of review: June 6, 2005
In short: The Start needs to be fixed. In full: All the late arrivals started from the front due to the very poor Start arrnagements. I spent half the race overtaking slow, late arrivals. Need to be fixed.
In short: A well organised run, in nice country side. In full: It was good run and well organised. The hills were not as tough as expected, which was a nice surprise. Good support on the way round. Date of review: June 6, 2005
In short: Crazy start but great fun. In full: Nice and picturesque with a few hill climbs. The race was very well marshalled apart from the start which had the late arrivals at the front of the start line in a very narrow lane. Date of review: June 6, 2005
