In short: 4th time on that race - new (and more challenging course) very muddy and hilly. Good fun tho'
In full: It's a local run for me, I support the cause anyway, I know the people at Loseley (and because they lost a son, they set up Christopher's, which morphed into CHASE. Would always run here for as long as I can run. Good atmosphere, good course, friendly runners, not too keen (at my end anyway). It could do with an official bag-drop system (esp with car parking 10 mins away.

In short: A great course slightly let down by organisation.
In full: First of all let's talk about the weather. The organisers were VERY unlucky to say the least in terms of the horrendous weather that made it tip it down for a good 4 hours prior to the race. A friend of mine ran the course 3 days prior and it was pretty much bone dry. This is clearly something outside of the organisers control.

What annoyed me somewhat about this race is that it is advertised/promoted as a kind of family friendly 10k/4k. That in itself is fine, but due to the horrendous conditions there should of been the following:

1) A delayed start by 20minutes to allow people to park properly and prepare.
2) A good clear and precise warning that the course has become very tough overnight and in some places dangerous.
3) CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS AS TO WHERE THE START is. I stupidly assumed it would be under the 'START' banner.
4) More marshalls as a couple of people got lost.

All this aside, the amount raised is fantastic and goes to unbelievable cause. Otherwise I would of been peed off at this race.

Noone can do much about the rain. But they can manage it better.

In short: Muddy, hard and fun! Wettest race I've ever run, felt like I'd got into a Grim run by mistake.
In full: If it had been a rugby match it would have been cancelled due to waterlogged pitch, but as it was you had time to get used to soaked feet way before the start because ALL the grass was more or less under water. Started by running down a (paddy) field, listening to every one squeaking and splashing through more or less water, then settled down to the usual lovely variety of woodland paths (deeply muddy or churned up), sandy bridleways (even they were puddly) and grassy bits (aka bogs). Highlight: that lovely downhill to Watts Gallery. Low spot (not literally): plodding up that ploughed field to the top of the Hog's Back, seems to get longer every year! It wasn't the run I'd expected, but what a lot of fun!

In short: Tough course but not too tough
In full: I am new to running. This couurse would be quite challenging on a dry day. Today was wet and the mud really took it's toll.
Nice race, lovely people

In short: a very muddy cross country 10K - harsh swampiness!
In full: A good race for a GREAT cause but I do think the marshals could have been vaguely happy and supportive, I know it was coming down in buckets but some encouragement would have been welcome - nice medal though :)
