In short: Just what I was hoping for on my race debut. In full: The pre-event and on-the-day organisation was very efficient. I imagine it is extremely awkward getting a race set up in London's no.1 park with the safety considerations. Everyone involved was helpful and enthusiastic which made for a great atmos on a perfect morning.
I can't imagine what else they should have done about the bag drop - any closer and they would have been in the quagmire! Also, the park's toilet block was a couple of minutes away, and the portaloo queue-ers weren't listening to the announcements.
I was surprised that there wasn't a chip sensor at the start, but it wasn't difficult to work out your accurate time. I was extatic when I saw the clock and realized I would be inside 50 mins!
Finally, remember this was a charity event - the medal, t-shirt and goody bag was more than sufficient. If you want a luxury goody bag, get invited to an Oscars party.
Thanks to Sabina and the After Adoption organizers; I thoroughly enjoyed my morning. Date of review: November 24, 2009

In full: The organisation was ok but the actual course could have been a lot better. It was confusing with the km markers so close together, and too many loops around same field. Date of review: November 23, 2009

In short: great run for both beginners and experts In full: I really enjoyed this run. There must have been about 600 runners so there was a good atmosphere and also a good range of abilities. There seemed to be some very fast men (maybe the promise of a trip to Iceland for the winner brought out the best!) but there were also many people coming in after 1 hour so I didnt feel intimidated. The "bag for life" goody bags were a nice touch as was the scooter race for kids after the main event. Marshalls were also great and very encouraging which was really welcome by the slow coaches like me! In the diary for next year Date of review: November 21, 2009

In short: great race in a great location In full: There are few runs in central london so this is a welcome addition to the calendar. It was great fun. Well organised and very friendly marshalls. Unbelievably lucky with the weather given the day before. Will definitely do it again next year. Date of review: November 21, 2009
