In short: Very good event - well marked - though quite a lot of road for a trail event.

In short: 10k was excellent, 2 particularly interesting climbs and well marked out.
In full: The weather was as big a challenge as anything being extremely hot this year but there were two water stations en route. There were two big climbs on a course that is half on/off road. Charging downhill straight across a road was a bit of a scare and there was no marker at a t-junction on the narrow path near the end but you are advised to suss the route via a good map beforehand. I'd do any of the Salisbury Fire Services races again - very good humoured. Local knowledge is helpful if you find yourself running alone and you're not Garmin enabled. The mix of races/walks is a great idea too.

In short: Fun, scenic, route marking could be better in places.
In full: I had a great time doing this and I love that there are so many distances available: I did the 30k, my friend did the 20.
The route marking was mostly excellent, which made it all the more puzzling when it was lacking. The zig-zag drop into Salisbury needed markings at junctions for sure. We were all issued with paper maps at the beginning, but obviously if the weather had been bad they would have been useless.
Also the 30k course felt like it needed one more water station in the middle to me.
Still, good fun.

In short: An excellent event - there is a distance for everyone.
In full: I will recommend this event to anyone, not only because there is a distance for everyone but for the views & scenery....so what if its long or that at one point in the race you might go the wrong way - just enjoy the running - I did & I will be back. Great location for the start & finish. Excellent facilities.

Well done & thanks to all concerned in putting together this event.

In short: Stunning scenery, lovely weather, what else would you do on a sunday!?
In full: Did the marathon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great deal of thought went into the route and loved the 'follow the string' route through the yew trees! Not so keen on the road bit through Wilton so be good if that could be diverted off-road somehow (maybe we could run through that estate too!??). Any off-road marathon is gonna be tricky to get distance precision. Jelly babies and bread pudding went down a treat. Bit worrying that one runner from our club was 'chipped' as having finished whereas infact she was still out on the course - luckily she arrived safe and sound but that really needs to be sorted out. All in all, great time!

In short: 30k's a long way I ended up doing 20.2 miles but glad to do so
In full: Nice race with quirky features. Mile markers up to 7 and then stopped inaccurate. Not as scenic as I expected but some beautiful views. Some poor route markings led me to follow a diversion of about 70 runners. I would definitely do it again and pay more attention to my map.

In full: I am mad as I did this as my first marathon, and I loved it. The views were incredibly breath taking, fellow runners were chatty and friendly, and the drinks stations were my fav cause there were jelly babies woohoo! It was a hard run but well worth the jelly legs after. Its a must try, I know Id do it again.
