In short: A beautiful, very well organised race
In full: This was the first Hungerford Hares 'race' and I was really delighted with it. The course was excellently marked and marshalled, with loads of clear signs and friendly faces. The 8 mile distance was perfect-not too long nor too short and it had everything-almost all off-road, really scenic and a couple of teasing hills. Even after all the rain, it wasn't at all muddy!
The best thing though, was the friendly but organised way it was run. A definite 'Must Do' for next year.

In short: Lovely scenic race around local countryside — very well organized!
In full: One of my favourite races to date!

I really enjoyed the scenic country-side and mix of road, track and grass. The event was very well organized and marshaled. There was a lovely friendly atmosphere boosted by the fun-run for family and the youngsters before the main race.

The only down-side was the price which I felt was a bit high given the type of race. (Perhaps £10 / £12 on the day may have been a little more reasonable).

However, the mug was a fantastic bonus to what was a great morning (I rarely keep things from races, but this will be used!). Would definitely do it again... and look forward to next year.

Well done Hungerford Hares!

In short: A Fabulous Blast through the Twists and Turns of Hungerfords Countryside
In full: A wonderfully mornings entertainment, the kids loved the childrens race and the medal was nice, they felt like runners. The main race was across varied countryside from quite country roads, common land, footpaths a gallop and wide bridleway, over small but constant undulations. I was a little conserned that you double back on the course and we could of been running into runners coming the other way, but the course had been worked out well and there was only slight overlap. The marshals were plentyful and wonderful. The mug was about the best I've recieved at a race which off-set the sharp intake of breathe of the price. The atmosphere was splendid dispite the intermittent rain. Well done all involved

In short: Good first effort, well done!
In full: Interesting course, well marked and marshalled.
Friendly atmosphere and good start/finish venue (Hungerford Rugby Club). One downer was the £16 entry fee which is too much.
Congratulations to The Hares, looking forward to running again next year.

In short: Great marshalling, special thanks to 'sweeper' Karl for keeping me going!
In full: The first time I had attempted anything resembling cross country. Quite challenging for me but very enjoyable and the club's organisation and welcome really helped. Great support from crowd and marshalls. Would definitely do it again and consider other similar runs! Well done and thanks to all involved :)

In short: Great organisation, lovely route well marked and supportive marshals
In full: A great new event to add to the diary - a nice mix of road, trail and fields, not too hilly but enough ups & downs to make you work hard, Well marked with lots of marshals and 2 water stations, beautiful pottery mug for finishers. Tea & cakes plus BBQ - what more could you ask for - will definatley be back next year - well done Hungerford Hares.
