In short: 3 tough laps. Watching people finish and still having another lap to go made it harder still
In full: Starts with a hill, then there's another one - a longer one, and then later there's another. And then you do your second lap! Scenery is lovely and the atmosphere was great but despite having done longer races just prior to this me and my friend really struggled on this one. If you're expecting the uphills it's probably not so bad.

In short: Undulating? A euphemism for hilly.....
In full: Undulating is an interesting descroption of this course. Admittedly, I do most of my training along the Thames path, but I would describe Woodstock as hilly. Funny how some courses appear to be only up-hill! Beautiful scenery and kindly, encouraging stewards made up for the hills. I also managed a chatting PB in managing to talk to my friend - uninterrupted by hills - for 1hr 58 minutes! I would do this again as it is great training for the NY Marathon.

In short: Excellent challenge with hills throughout.
In full: Nice to have a traffic-free race through the gardens of Blenheim palace. Be careful of the "Slow Pheasants Crossing"; definately a race to come back to.

In full: apart from the hill after 1 mile the rest of the course if pretty flat. mind you the hill does go on a bit and when you hit it the third time you do feel it.

In short: nice location, very smoothly organised, three laps meant the hills began to become uncomfortably familiar...
