In short: 2 Sharp climbs make this a challenging race in lovely scenery
In full: This was my first race back after a 3 year non-running patch. After nursing Achilles tendinitis for 7 months I was very concerned about this route. However the atmosphere is one of a friendly village event and the scenery is good enough to almost take your mind off the hills. Don't expect a PB, expect a good challenging day out.

Good Quality Technical T-Shirt too !

In short: Varied, steep and enjoyable
In full: I now understand why it is called the 'Pudsey 10k challenge' not the 'Pudsey 10k run' and it is just that, a hilly challenge, the downhills are mostly too steep and uneven to get up much speed so this doesn't compensate for my slowness up the hills!

It was nice getting off the roads in the sunshine for some of the run. A very friendly event where you have enough space for pretty much all the route and can start running from within a few yards of the start line.

My 3 year old also did the family fun run which made it a nice family day out.

In short: Beautiful sunny day in the hills of Pudsey
In full: A really well organised and supported race. But not for the faint hearted, it is a challenging 10k in true Yorkshire tradition has no flat bits. There are some challenging off road climbs and some steep down hills on loose gravel tracks that are just as hard. All that said it was great fun in the sun (so it was hot as well)and well organised. It's a different challenge which is what makes running so much fun.

In short: Scenic, great fun, but not for the faint hearted!
In full: Really enjoyed this run.Only my 3rd ever 10K. Signed up not realising what I was getting into (kids wanted to do fun run so thought I may as well do the 10K) was a bit alarmed to later read about the hills, and mud and water! BUT although the hills were V challenging, and the rocky/muddy trails ensure it isn't really PB potential I REALLY enjoyed it - much more than a recent local flat 10k road race I did in fact!
