In short: Keep it small and friendly. Great local race.
In full: Designated refreshment area would have been a nice touch. Leisure centre staff made cups of tea as it was so cold but I think they wouldnt normally do this. Loved every minute.

In short: A very good first running of this race.
In full: Having signed up for this some time ago, we had no idea that race day would come round with sub zero maximum temps and snow on the ground. I opted for road shoes, thinking, correctly as it turned out, that any mud would be frozen solid...
There wasn't a bit turn out, and I guess the weather may have deterred some, but those that stayed away missed an excellent trot up the hill and back. No views of the white horse, but other than that the scenery was good, with cracking views from the ridge (which on a clear day would have been spectacular). Organisation was smooth, and the up hill, down hill nature of the route suited me as I knew I could let rip in the second half.
Not sure how many runners could be accommodated as the car park is quite small, but I hope to be back at this race in future years.

In short: so cold!
In full: turned up at this run fully expecting there to be a sign at the venue stating 'run cancelled due to adverse weather'. But it wasn't, and so glad - really well organised first-time event. 3 layers but -6 degrees meant i was still cold but lovely little local event and nicce course that seemed to be over really quickly. well done stampede sports
