In short: Well organised mud fest!
In full: Very, very muddy run, 'worse' than Hellrunner in that respect but a quarter of the price. Very well organised with friendly marshalls cheering you on along the way.

In short: A muddy adventure!
In full: This is one to remember! It was a slippy, muddy and fun experience. Tough but worth it for the experience.

In short: New favourite trail race.
In full: Excellent race, well organised with varied terrain and great scenery. Battle of the Somme type conditions following huge downpour prior to race added to the fun ! But having said that I look forward to running it again next year, hopefully on dry trails.

In short: Beautiful, Brilliant, but brutal
In full: Do this race every year when I can, so thought I knew what to expect - but this year! So muddy, was wearing my trail shoes so no slipping/sliding and I love the downhills, but by 10 my legs had just gone. That thick mud just drains me, but all that means was I could really appreciate the glorious views as an excuse to slow down.
As regards the value and facilities - Oscar should try the Hellrunner or Turbofilth, which cost more, give you less and leave you to change in a carpark afterwards!
So well done Liss Runners, just the best race ever.

In short: Hilarious, hair-raising, slip, slide and squelch experience!
In full: I don't have much trail-running experience, and entered this race as a training run for the Jungfrau Marathon rather than because I'm an off-road aficionado. It was surprisingly enjoyable - at times hair-raising, at times hilarious. Not sure the deep mud and vertiginous descents will be much of a preparation for the Jungfrau, but the walking-pace ascents, narrow paths and general cameraderie seemed pretty much spot on. Some of the downhill sections were truly dangerous (I was one of many fallers and have the cuts to prove it) and I also got lost at one point. But my lasting memory will be of a magnificently mad race. Thank you, Liss Runners.

In short: indulging, beautiful scenery, only £12 but poor afterwards facilities, no timing chip...
In full: traveled long way to get there im so glad it started at 10:30. little bit a walk to start, good steady first then slowly gets harder and harder,it is not the toughest but very indulging race, after all this rain it was very muddy, you need to be very careful in some places, i seen few people fall and hurt, asking for help. Lots of water on the way every 2.5 miles with jelly babies. lots of smiling marshals, well organised race with lovely scenery. last 2 miles was downhill to finish, lots of people were cheering at the end, it was only £12 bargain! bring your own goodies all you get medal, water and jellies. no timing tag.

In short: A challenging trail race
In full: Great run in challenging conditions. Torrential rain helped turned most hills into a slippery and hair raising experience!

A group of us were directed the wrong way by a 'rogue sign' which was apparently moved by some joker (not one of the runners mind you). It would be a real shame for Liss Runners to cancel this race because of this. Really hope to see this return next year...sign me up!
