In short: Very well organised and fun quick race
In full: Everything is set up to make this race simple and enjoyable.
Plenty of friendly marshalls to help with the parking, water stations and directions.
The course itself is very forgiving and I've posted a PB the last 2 years I've taken part.

Nice medal this year too.

In short: Super Organised and a Fast friendly Race
In full: As has been said this is a great 10K organised by the same people who week in week out organised the Black Park parkrun.... so runs like clockwork! Cheap to enter and great handouts at the end. One to do every year!!

In short: Feels just like a longer Parkrun!
In full: This is just a brilliant race, I can't rate it too highly. I was worried the small field would mean lots and lots of fats runners, but, no, it felt just like a Parkrun. No tension, a real relaxed feel about it. If you are a first timer, its a great race to start for a 10k.

Brilliant organisation, loads of marshalls, overall downhill course, mars bars, Mars Bar drink, free parking for runners and a £5 Sweatshop voucher...

Run under trees, it would be good in the sun too.

Just a brilliant race. Thank you Marshalls.

In short: Brilliant race, fast course
In full: This race cost 10 quid and you get a £5 SweatShop voucher at the end, plus a few things to eat and drink and a medal. The course is great - really quick and seemed to have more downhill than up. Everything was great and I'd definitely do it again. Just a great, fast race done really well. Great location in Black Country Park, too.

In short: Great 10K for a sunday dash.
In full: A pleasant 10K, allowing for an early morning run without impacting the rest of the day.
Great goody bag afterwards for £10 entry. Only downside is the last 1/2KM through the woods.

In short: Fantastic organisation
In full: Great organisation from the parkrun team. The trees along the route provided some welcome shade. The long slow incline from 4.5k to 5k proved a killer for me. Will practice my hills and aim to be back next year.

In short: Can be a fast course, but today was hot!
In full: Nice little course, can be fast on a day that isn't so hot!

Bit of an incline at 4 to 5k that takes the momentum away, and a last 1/2 km on trail makes it less fast than some flat courses, but a nice run out.

Wil be pleased with coming top 10 this year. In normal October weather would definitely have been quicker, but you can only run as you find it on the day.

In short: Very well organised, great race. Fast course despite the incline at 5k, got a PB by over 1 min. No chip timing, but not essential unless numbers increase significantly.
