In short: A great race all round, well worth the money, travel time but make sure you do hill work in the weeks leading up to it!
In full: Big thanks to all volunteers and ETL for putting on such a great race.Lovely scenery not that I saw much of it, very friendly competitors and a nice HQ.Hills 2 and 3 seemed to go on for ever but the coming back down was fun.
Only one gripe the age old problem of water in cups, especially as I was doing the individual event.Could ETL not put price up by a pound and allow individuals one bottle of water somewhere on course?Anyway only a small issue,EXCELLENT EVENT.

In short: 2 days later, my legs feel like they are about to fall off.
In full: I took the Boxhill leg because I felt I havent hurt myself enough in the past. And it hurt. A deserving pain which will go away long before the memory of the day fades. I'll be back in 2012...and will be doing the whole thing. Great race, great atmosphere, great pain in new places.

In short: A testing challenge but fun
In full: You certainly know that you have run this one! Great spririt amongst the runners and marshals with a lot of encouragement throughout the run. Not a race for me, more of a personal challenge which I hope to repeat and try to run a little bit more up Box Hill next time without slowing to a walk. The final, easier, hill felt just as hard as Box Hill after the others, but a great descent helped get dead legs moving again.
Well done to all finishers, marshals for their support and the organisers for not giving up after last year's teething problems and coming back with an end of year event that will be one of the first to tick on the list for next year.

In short: Hills, glorius hills, and fantastic views
In full: What a fantastic day out, helped by the weather and the views. Hilly and makes the legs ache.

The first leg is very steep but the rest is all v.runable. The second leg has a run alongside the A24 (plans afoot to remove this bit according to race director) but to be honest I was glad to have some flattish tarmac to recover a bit. The third leg has the most fantastic views.

The medal is a piece of quality and thank goodness no t-shirt (I just don't need another).

Great Race

In short: The final downhill was fantastic ...
In full: Pity you had to go up it first. It was quite steep. I liked the out and back bits as everyone cheered you on (if like me you were near the end!)
