In short: Bargain, scenic, well organised
In full: £4 for a well organised race in nice scenic surroundings, and you get a t shirt, cuppa and cake - bargain. A nice warm-up for the XC season. I always look forward this one.

In short: Great value - great race - well done Striders!
In full: For just £4, you get a well marshalled and scenic race, a t-shirt, free tea and cake plus showers and changing. For the lucky few there was also the usual range of age and team prizes. So why only 100 runners? The only answer is that it's not called the Hell and Switchback 5 or something I suppose or that people like paying £40 for a race.

In short: very enjoyable
In full: especially the delicious cakes at the end! was my fastest (only) 5 mile race, so PB potential is up there.

I managed it 4 minutes quicker than expected, so very pleased with that, as well as the fact that it has some lovely hills

i wonder if the croydon half will be similar?

In short: Loved it!!!!!!!!!!
In full: Really surprising a race can be put on for such a small fee and be executed faultlessly, lots and great marshall, perfect signage through a forest course and tea and cake at the end, the course was great a heavy mix of up and down hills in the 1st few miles made it challenging not my best race but I did enjoy the distance.
Well done to the organisers for a great morning.
