In short: Really enjoyed it - despite the appalling weather at start In full: Nice to start and finish in a stadium. Good finishing goody bag, with worthwhile contents. Living locally hadn't realised there were quite so many inclines in this area, especially at half way. Friendly atmosphere at start and finish. Even the weather improved as the race went on, and as a result I had far too many layers on. Marshalls were excellent, very encouraging. Thanks Date of review: December 5, 2008

In short: Quick-paced and well-organised In full: Plenty of local and regional club runners in evidence, but friendly enough to have a go if you're a beginner. Gently undulating except one long hill approx 4k into the race; well organised, friendly, definately worth a go Date of review: December 1, 2008

In short: A PB and a head cold In full: A really enjoyable race - not even the rain and resultant head cold today - could dampen my enthusiasm. 15 mins before I was close to pulling out and then when I arrived at the stadium and saw how much effort had gone into the day - coupled with the number of very supportive marshalls - it would have been criminal not to have been there. Rain came down just as I reached the top of the hill so it was not as bad as it could have been. I am not affiliated to a club but found the number of club members very motivational - followed a guy from Wimborne AC most of the way so thank him for the PB. Finally loved the stadium finish and the goody bag - for once with things that you can use straight away - it was a real bonus. Will definitely try to make it next year. In short: Well done again In full: Second time of doing this event and even the rain managed to relent (well for the main part!)Fantastic sports bag (with goodies included) for all finishers amazing value for money. A real good course for beginners even including a 'testing' incline at half way. The barriers are I agree a bit of a pain but how on earth would you get over 400 runners across a dual carriageway!! Glad the course held up after the rain the previous night. A bit of a laugh a the starting line but no-one seemed to mind. Thank you marshalls for braving the elements. Great event again bournemouth joggers Date of review: November 23, 2008

In short: Scenic, mildly challenging, friendly, well organised and marshalled In full: I thoroughly enjoyed this event - okay probably not so much the up-hill climb at queens park!. But despite the weather at the start and the twisty barriers i still managed a pb. The mixed terrain really makes it interesting and mildly challenging. The marshal's did a terrific job (especially encouraging the runner's) and the crowd-support in the stadium near the finish were great - very uplifting. Date of review: November 23, 2008

In short: Tough beginner race! In full: Tough hill at halfway point; some annoying barriers by subway when passing under busy road (done twice as on return); some muddy, grassy bits which really needed trail shoes; not very scenic route as very residential. I also found that part of the actual running on the road tough to 'overtake' as it was very much single runner traffic. Wouldn't recommend as a first time or beginner race. Positives are: well marshaled, well organised, friendly and somewhere to grab a coffee before and after. Date of review: November 23, 2008

In short: I run this race because it is mixed terrain and constantly changing. I don't mind the barriers at the underpass or the muddy grassy bits or even the hill up Queen's Park West Drive! Date of review: November 23, 2008
