In short: My first 10 mile race for a long time
In full: I used this as part of my FLM training as I live close by. Even had my race number put through the door. Storms had threatened but held off till the town mayor blew the hooter, and then the heavens opened A fantastic storm but hey its November. Good long hill from about start of mile two, then several miles of plateau, downhill before somebody put another hill in at about 8 miles, but then a nice generally downhill finish. Well organised, good stewards especially considering the soaking they got at the start. Hard but enjoyable run, probably have to do it again as the start is only half a mile from me.

In short: My first 10 miles and I loved every second of it!
In full: I'd definately do this run again. Despite the interesting weather right from the start I really enjoyed myself. Well organised and a good atmosphere. The hills may have been 'gently undulating' compared to say Everest but even for a beginner to 10 miles like me I still managed to do it. Next year remind me to bring a dry pair of trainers to change into though!!

In short: It's was a tough 'un in the rain and the hill at 8m was a real tester. Managed to finish and thats all that matters
In full: Great support from the marshalls, helped keep me going and thanks for the water guys. Disappointing changing rooms/shower rooms, and you needed a hot shower after that. Never been out in such consitently bad weather, Rain and Glorious Mud and the hill at 8m was a real tester. Looking forward to next year! warm showers please and no rain!

In short: Who pressed the torrential rain button at the start
In full: Well at least the weather took your mind off the hills in the first 4 miles. I forgot how hilly this one is at the start, but the flat middle bit and after the hill at 8 miles you tend to forget. Vile weather made running harder than it should have been but the brave, friendly marshalls helped. A great race and one I will be back for. Thank you Hadleigh Hares

In short: Superb!!!!!
In full: A well organised race through picturesque rolling countryside. Rather challenging in places made more so by some very seasonal weather. Well done and thank you to the organisers and marshalls. And I got a new PB.

In short: good marshalls, changing rooms/meeting point disappointing
In full: what weather and think we had it all because of that made the course more difficult with deep puddles, running water and mud the finish wasn't the best either on the playing field after all that rain. bar area with all the families in there with the rain was crowded need a bigger venue for next year.

In short: Great organisation and fantastic marshalls!!
In full: Oh my!! What weather we had for this race. Right from the start it was like monsoon season! Never raced in weather like that before! A massive thanks to all the marshalls out on the route for braving such awful weather! Your support and work is greatly appreciated! A lovely scenic race with a few testing hills but a nice finish from 8 and a half miles! Definetley be back next year. Hopefully the rain won't!!
