In short: I managed a PB in this slush ride. The hail like snow was so bad I nearly went back to the start. Needed better sinage - many people started late.

In short: Probably would not do this based on poor goody bag and not being worth the milage
In full: Did not compete on this occasion as committed to the Norwich Half but my husband had entered. Did struggle to drive and locate the venue, without any instructions being sent with his race number. No sign posts in the town either! Not allowed to park in the club car park and many found the field impossible in the snow with rear drive. My husband found the race a challenge at times but o.k and I did think the start was disorganised. Perhaps a loud hailer would be better next time as I could see that people were finding it difficult to hear the instructions. Sorry to gripe but I also agree with the other comments about the goody bag, very poor considering the distance and conditions when people had made the effort to get there.

In short: Really good race even allowing for the weather
In full: I did this race last year and, if anything, i enjoyed it more this year - despite the weather. The first couple of miles were tough as it snowed a lot but after that it was good, but a bit slushy!

I'll do it again next year for sure.

In short: You can't beat this one for the weather
In full: The third time I have run this and the third blast of November weather with it. This year it was snow which for the first couple of miles where the country roads were open was painful. Once the first hill came into play you started to warm up and apart from being a bit more careful on picking whether to use the slush or fresh snow to run on it was a fun race, though I cant imagine anybody PBing on the day. Marshalls on the course were excellent, it must be tougher to stand at a corner than run round it. Perversely I quite enjoyed the whole day and it should make the rest of the winter seem quite tame! Well I hope.

In short: Besides the snowy conditions, it was a great race. Cozy atmosphere -helped with the tough weather conditions- enthusiastic marshalling and friendly organisation. I certainly enjoyed it!!!!

In short: Friendly and memorable for the weather!
In full: Lots of friendly marshalls but those at the start didn't really rise to the difficult conditions (lots of people milling about). The race didn't seem to be signposted and would have been had to find for a non-local. Also the pre-race information was a bit lacking and the memento was a disappointment - a medal wins every time for me! The course was great and the atmosphere was fantastic.

In short: Interesting course, great crowd...
In full: The hill at 8 miles wiped me out but good course, well marshalled in appalling weather and friendly runners. Maybe try again next year when hopefully not a blowing an artic blizzard for first half of race and ankle deep slush for all of it, and get a better time and see some of the views. Worth a scary drive up from London for in a mad sort of way. Could have done with and extra bar in the goody bag given the weather but great to have use of shower.
