In short: First race in two years. Despite thinking I hadn't done enough training really enjoyed the experience and came away on Cloud Nine In full: The only thing I feel let it down was the momento/goody bag: my preference is for a t-shirt/mug but medals are ok (Ricky Road Run you get t-shirt and mug!) but I know it's for charity. As for the bag, a nearly out-of-date energy fruit bar and pack of chocolate buttons, plus a much paper as inserts in a Sunday broadsheet (not even a discout from Up & Running: I pity the poor sod who stuffed the bags. Took the high sheen off the gloss of what was a lovely afternoon. Oh yeah, the water wasn't obvious at the finish either.
However 11/10 to the Lions; marshalls at every conceivable point, even on the straight bits with no junctions. A big thank you.
Sorry for moaning, I know its a charity run; I did raise £110.
