In short: I agree with most previous comments.
In full: A superb hilly race which will test those like me who have mostly ran flat!To my suprise i got into a stride and only stopped once on the last hill at 11 miles!
The downhill finish is superb and i can`t say that i noticed the "middle aged" commentator!
The show is also something for non runners to enjoy although this could all have been different if it had rained...
Will try and do this again next year, well done to the organisers -- they put bigger races to shame!

In short: Hilly and challenging but with good scenery, organisation and a lovely mug to finish.
In full: This was a great race which I really enjoyed. It was hilly and challenging, but also had some great downhill sections. The organisation was good and the people friendly. I really liked the mug and my whole family enjoyed the show. All in all it was a great day out.

In short: Nice scenery once you were on your way up the first hill, well marshalled, great fun throwing yourself down the trail, and a nice mug to remember it by. Warn anyone coming to watch about the £5 entry fee though - Mrs G wasn't too happy about that!

In short: **Flat course, Very well marshalled, Mile markers missing, Glastonbury-esque toilet scenarios, Dodgy commentator, Good fun**
In full: +++POSITIVES+++ Well marshalled, plenty of water, flat course (managed a PB), obligatory 'amusing' middle-aged commentator

---NEGATIVES--- Mile markers missing (2 + 3 missing, 1 in wrong place), not enough bogs (please get some more), obligatory 'amusing' middle-aged commentator

It also rained, perhaps in response to another gag about someone not wearing their race number. Overall recommended.

In short: One of the tougher halfs, but at least not boringly flat
In full: Even though the hills were tough, especially the one between 11 & 12 miles, there was something about this race which makes you say, I would probably do this again. Water stations plentiful, and all had sponges as well. Overall a very good event in a very nice setting, with a nice show and a few beers to finish off. Also makes a change having a Saturday race.
