In short: Challenging course - will test your stamina!
In full: Enjoyed this race, the hills arent steep but they do seem to go on forever! Loved the downhill bit in the middle and again at the finish. Just needed to be wary of the cyclists racing in the opposite direction. Plenty of water/sponge stations & cheerful marshalls. Will be back next year!

In short: 2nd time round and just as special.
In full: Fabulous race. The hills aren't too difficult or steep, althought the one between 4-6 miles does drag on a bit. I just keep my head down and don't notice it so much then. I love the off road section and the downhill sprint at the end. Lovely mug again to add to my burgeoning collection.

In short: Great race, great scenery, killer hills!
In full: 1st time running this event and really enjoyed it! Challenging hill sections with the 1st that just seemed to keep going, and some really fast downhill sections especially at the end.

Great scenery that made the hill sections worth it and plenty of water and sponge stations to keep you going!

In short: Enjoyed it but hard
In full: Very well organised event with plenty of water stations. Tough course with some nasty hills. Wasnt really expecting the off road bit - more like cross country than a road race and didnt enjoy the Highland cows at 8 miles who wanted to join in. The show is good to have a wander round and lots of food available to buy afterwards - really enjoyed my tea and cake. Minor gripe - why no ladies team prize?

In short: Challenging, hilly, beautiful race!!
In full: Really liked this race. Comprised of a strong bunch of runners, nicely spread out. The scenery is beautiful. All gets really tough from about mile 3 to 5 but your over the worst then. Lovely off road section for about 2 miles. I would definitely recommend this race, however do not take it on lightly - its quite challenging. Pleased with my time though - 1hr 44!
