In short: Not many 20's about - great marathon training In full: Its the top gear track! I know that bend, that plane - what a great touch! But then you go out of the gate and there's a few challenging hills out there! Its 2 laps of a 10 mile course and the second lap starts by watching the 10 milers finish - then seems to find hills that weren't there the first time round!! I enjoyed it though - runners for both Brighton and London marathons should look at this or the Cranleigh 21 a week later for a good training run to get you in the mind set for what lies ahead! In short: Great course, great value, great organisation In full: Quite simply one of the bast races I've run, the course was really wide & open at the start which is exactly what you want to avoid major bunching. Organisation was first class and all the organisers and volunteers were friendly, helpful and encouraging. Good water stations, well marked out course, good timing facilities, great event parking. You'll do well to find a better event! Date of review: May 5, 2012

In short: Good organisation, simple 2 lap course would do again. Disappointing no sports drinks on offer. In full: Overall a very good race which was well organised. Lots of parking near to the start and plenty toilets. Decent number of water stations and also the gels were a nice bonus. However, disappointed there were no sports drinks such as lucozade available which is really a must have for a 20 mile race.
Good pacing race in preparation for VLM.
Would do it again. Date of review: April 24, 2012

In short: Awesome! In full: Arrived, parked (quickly), 100 yards to registration, got number, queued for loo (<3 mins), all sorted. Went back to car to wait for race start it was so quick to get everything done!
Race route well marked, well marshalled, well catered for.
Unique route with Top Gear track included, although bulk is on Surrey's green and verdant lanes.
Great day out, super friendly event organiser, couldn't really have asked for more. Date of review: March 26, 2012

In short: Great marathon prep In full: Very well organised race, with encouraging marshalls. The course is rarely flat once it leaves the airfield, but there's nothing too bad. Plenty of water and gels/sweets around the course. Nice touch being greeted by the RD on the finish line. Recommended Date of review: March 26, 2012

In short: Lovely scenery and sunshine In full: Nice touch having the race director on the finish line to shake hands. Appreciated that and the medal and the kitkat at the finish line. Bit of a muddle at the start of second lap - perhaps a few more marshalls and start the separation from the 10 milers a bit further back. Lots of loos at the start and finish area, lots of drink stations with water, gels and sweets. Great event,,,, now if only I could run a bit faster. Very enjoyable race. In short: Hilly but welcoming In full: Really enjoyed this race. Great weather, very supportive marshal's and a hearty congratulations and handshake at the finish very welcome. Some hills are a challenge, especially on lap 2 but running across Hammerhead is fun. Date of review: March 21, 2012

In short: Can't believe running 20 miles can be this enjoyable! In full: Eveything about this race was excellent - from the fantastic ease of parking to the numerous water/gel stops, the cheery marshals, the scenic route, the superb medal, the good number of toilets, etc, etc.
Also, in terms of runner cameraderie , this was one the best races i've been in for some time - real uplifting stuff.
Before this i wondering how the hell i am going to struggle round London next month, but this event has me champing at the bit! Date of review: March 20, 2012
