In short: excellent 10miler, would recommend it for first timers
In full: really enjoyed this race, althouygh had to travel for 90 mins, but well worth the journey. organisation was top notch and obviuosly well rehersed. managed a pb on an undulating course, and will now inspire me to go for a good time in the hastings half.. may consider the 20 next year, depending on marathon entry.

In short: Undulating route, great organization,
In full: I have run the past three editions of this popular race. It's simply an excellent event: great organization, marshalls are very friendly and cheer you up throughout the entire route; quick start/finish on the wide and large runway of the Dunsfold aerodrome (no bottlenecks despite over 900 runners); car park is huge and very well marshalled; lots of toilets; first 3-4 kms on the flat route inside the airfield, then a nice and undulating journey for 9-10 kms.
Probably one of the best events in the County!

In short: a flying start....boom boom!
In full: a well organised, friendly 10 miler (my first Tempest) with the added bonus of doing a bit of Top Gear spotting for the first 2.5 miles as you ran round the race track (noted the 3 x doughnuts during the first mile and the tyre wall that appears in every programme)to take your mind off things. Then out into the glorious Surrey countryside and undulating roads manned by ever smiling and helpful marshals and plenty of wtaer and gel stations. Not sure I'd fancy the 20 miles though!

In short: Great race, well organised
In full: Really enjoyed this race. Organisation was very smooth - very short queues for car park, number pick-up and toilets. Plenty of marshals on the course.

The course has some small hills in the middle, but I was just over a minute slower than my PB so nothing too bad. Course is open to traffic but I only saw a handful of cars on the way round.

Love the medal too.

In short: Scenic route and friendly marshalls
In full: well orgnised and friendly marshalls. It is a lovely route with two or three tough but short hills. The only thing is that it was slighlty difficult getting out of the airfield as there were loads of 20 mile runners going round. So if I did it next year I would probably wait until most of the runners had gone round the airfield again and back out.

In short: Great race, fab course, faultless organisation
In full: I did both the Spring and Autumn Tempest in 2011, there were some issues, not enough toilets, no chip timing at the Autumn Tempest, so I didn't do this race in 2012.

2013, I decideed to give it another go and it was brilliant, all the issues I'd had before had been sorted, the start is now near a hanger where you can buy food and drink, and also sports nutrition should you have forgotten anything.

Easy to pick up number and chip, more than enough toilets, race started on time, marshalls were enthusiastic, the whole thing ran like clockwork.

Also a really nice touch to get a handshake from the race director at the finish.

And did I mention the course is really great as well?

Would definitely do again, one day i WILL do the spitfire!
