In short: what a lovely race
In full: My first ever half marathon, and although injured and having to walk about 4 miles i absolutely loved it. The route through university campus and woolaton park in the middle of the race as well as the castle view early on and the start and finish at the embankment were very scenic. Lots of support from the locals especially in woolaton. Excellent race, excellent support and has played a part in converting several non-runners running with me!

In short: definitely be back next year
In full: Whoever mapped out the half mara course went out their way to get as many hills in there as possible, but really enjoyable race even with the strong winds. Goody bag at the end could have been better, though - other than the mars bar nothing very helpful in there.

In short: Great run - pity about the wind
In full: The bit around 18 miles just felt like the organisers were trying to fit in a bit of road space much like the Edinburgh marathon. A little bit less of the down the road for a bit and then back again would be nicer (even if that means more time around the rowing lake). Just a pity the organisers can't arrange the weather - the wind was something else and especially tough after 20 or so miles in the legs

In short: WELL WORTH ATTENDING THIS HALF MARATHON EVENT
In full: This was my second Half Marathon and was also my personal best of: 1:55:35

The atmosphere was great and will certainly be doing this run again! I will possibly attempt to do the Full Marathon depending on my training habits!!!

In short: A windy day and in the wrong direction
In full: As ever well organised, must have been a million portaloos at the start. Not sure about the strange journey down the lane at 18 miles, presume it was to lessen the time spent going round the lake.

In short: Great Run
In full: My first run at this event. Very well organised run. Thought it would be claustrophobic due to the high number of entrants (approx 12000) but this was not the case as all roads were closed off which made the run A nice run with a couple of hills. With the run going past the castle and through the University grounds and Wollaton Deer Park. Great support from locals on the way round with water pistols at the ready. Also a couple of bands en route which put a smile to my face. Will be back next year for this one.

In short: Fifth time at Nottingham and yet again an excellant day out!
In full: Very windy in the second half of the marathon (but it always is isn't it?!), but glad there was less running up and down the rowing lake this year, a welcome change.

In short: Top event, organisation like clock-work, will definitely do again next year!
In full: Ran the marathon for the 2nd year running and thoroughly enjoyed the event (apart from the last few miles of suffering before reaching the finish line). The whole day went like clock-work and I've not a single gripe. Will be back next year.
