In short: A fun, challenging cross-country run
In full: I really enjoyed the wonderful scenery around the route and the river crossing at Iford has to be a highlight! Good organisation, encouraging marshalls and smoothly run - I hope to do this race again after such a fun experience this year.

In short: Excellent race for multi-terrain first timers
In full: An excellent multi-terrain, scenic, hilly race through fields and woodland and mud!! Very well organised, baggage storage, changing area in a club house type building and even showers. Entry was £10 although the places that were left were sold for £8.00 on the day. There were about 300 runners of all abilities and the race started at the historic Tithe Barn in Bradford on Avon, we then ran via a canal towpath and up in to the woods, plenty of kissing gates to negotiate and a few fences to climb over and we even had a river crossing at Iford, not as scary as it looked in fact it was quite fun. Marshalls were encouraging and there was a water station half way round. As tradition goes with these smaller races we had the chance to buy tea and home make cakes at the finish (within the barn so nice and warm). Organised by Avon Valley Runners and they did an excellent job. 10 out of 10 definately worth a trip there next year, was a fantastic day.

In short: Lovely run on a bright autumn morning
In full: Good mix of fields, mud & woodland. Not as hilly as I thought but tough going in places. A good testing course & would recommend to runners who have yet to try an off road event

In full: Enjoyed this one as always. Well done AVR - especially with course change due at the last minute because of overnight rain. A big thanks too to all the marshalls and helpers (who needs hellrunner? haha)

In short: Shame we did not run through the meadows to Avoncliffe ....
In full: ...as the field did not really have time to get spread before we got to the first stile and there were more hold ups before the A36 was reached than in past years

Very enjoyable and the most local race for me, which allows me to warm up by walking to the start

Zammo there were showers and changing rooms, they were clearly marked
