In short: Glorious weather and a great run In full: Such a fab day and what better way to spend a warm sunny morning than running round the marvellous countryside of Bradford upon Avon. Friendly race and well marshalled. Started by the Avon then up to canal path, through fields/woodland with hardly any tarmac, yay. Plenty of slippery mud, stiles and gates to contend with and the river crossing was fun. Afterwards there was yummy homemade cakes, tea and coffee and chocs. Definitely would do this one again but perhaps next time with trail shoes! Date of review: November 14, 2011
In short: Amazing scenery, challenging but still enjoyable. Will be back next year, many thanks AVR. In full: Very friendly and supportive marshalls and great organisation. Date of review: November 13, 2011
In short: challenging and wonderful In full: My second time doing this race and I loved it. Wonderful course, scenic, challenging but not ridiculously so. The river crossing was indeed a highlight but so was the towpath, the woods (some of) the hills etc. Very friendly and efficient marshals. Hats off to avr for an excellent race. In short: sort out a proper car park !!!!! In full: arrived late - could not park anywhere - organisers there are already car parking issues in bradford on avon before any race takes place so find a car park field somewhere even if it half a mile away - had to turn round and go home again - a complete waste of time and money as spent all my time driving around wiltshire - pretty fed up !!
