In short: Very Poor Organisation for a Race That Takes Place in Our Capital
In full: Good points are, you get to race in London, past some great sights, and you receive a great medal. Bad points are, it takes place before the trains are running, so you have to drive, no toilets, no starting point organisation, bags are thrown in the middle of the street in the pouring rain, announcer loved his voice so much that he started the race 10 minutes late, water was handed out with the lid still on (try not stepping on any), other runners stopping to posed for photos right in front of you, video cameras at finish didn't cover all angles, marshalls didn't keep the finish line clear, access to t-shirts and goody bags was badly organised at the end. Hopefully they will organise it a little better in 2013, but so far the most badly organsied race I've ever run.

In short: Nice to have done it once
In full: Great route and atmosphere, but probably wouldn't do again. Didn't get to the start line until 35 minutes after the gun, and being an average to slow runner, had to deal with both walkers in front and faster runners coming from behind.

My wife's bag was left unguarded at the baggage drop when we got back, and there was quite a queue for the t shirts. Potentially a great race, but needs better organisation and perhaps less runners.

In short: Awesome race route. Amazing atmosphere amongst the crowd and music
In full: Racing past several landmarks including Big Ben defenetely tops the pros. With over 25,000 runners who participated and roughly 40,000 spectators added great atmosphere. i liked the idea we wore the same british 10k top which made the whole experience more special in a unique way. The only problem was lack of organisation. I waited inpatiently eager to start for at least half an hour, then they played 'God save the Queen' not only once but twice which was a bit cheesy and time wasting. Also noticed poor signage to baggage bay after finishing line. Overall brilliant race especially if u want to run while sightseeing while you get the feeling you almost running in a nightclub.

In short: Great course, ruined by appalling lack of organisation
In full: Hopelessly disorganised with no segregation of fast, slow and very slow runners / walkers. Kit storage a complete shambles in the rain. Overpriced and very poor value for money. Overall rating would be zero if that was possible on these ratings.

In short: Poor organisation - I hope Nike are going to invest in improvements for next year!
In full: Shocking organisation particularly in view of the cost.
Bags left in open. My 'bag pen assistant' had abandoned his post and we had to help ourselves to get our bags - very secure!
Shambles at the finish with people not sure where to get goodie bags and medals, arguments over who gets extra t-shirt and whether they had vouchers.
Everyone I spoke to complained about crowding for the first 2 or 3km - I was close to the front and there were still 'walls' of people walking that we're a pain to dodge.
"Come on Nike, this race has great potential".

In short: Baggage storage appalling, goody bag pathetic, stewards disinterested and too few, far too expensive
In full: No dry storage for baggage which was left on wet pavement in the rain soaking all the contents of the bag.Why no tents for baggage?Mean goody bag which consisted of a bag of nuts, a tea bag and some low cal sugar! Too few stewards (some of which seemed totally disinterested and unhelpful). Too few toilets at the start and the toilets at Piccadilly mentioned in the brochure didn't open until 9am-too late for anyone racing. This information should have been checked. Entrance fee far too expensive. There are many other races, 10k and half marathons much cheaper and much better value for money. Excellent venue, brilliant atmosphere, crowds brilliant but wouldn't do this race again.

In short: Poorly organised mess, but great surroundings and supporters!
In full: Lots of runners, so staggered start essential. Too many walkers - and a lot of them worked their way to the front, so tough from the word go.
Delayed start and serious lack of toilets at the start!!!
Organisation after coming over the line was shocking. No idea where to go, then 10 minute walk to join the melee of people queuing for no medals - had to walk around to other baggage stalls other than mine to get one!
Backs not under cover on a very wet day and stood on the ground and not really secure.
Great crowd, enjoyable run, great surroundings, nice medal when I got one.
Very much doubt if I will do it again.

In short: Do the pros outweigh the cons?
In full: Pros:
£50 Gold Entry
- Got my racepack in plenty of time - lots of people didn't
- Good quality drifit racetop with number (wore my own kit)
- Fantastic course
- Fantastic support along the whole of the course
- Great Medal
- Nike+ cheer me on a nice touch, but with 25,000+ runners was it ever gonna work smoothly?

Cons:
- The organisation, a woeful mess.

Has potential to be the best 10k in the country, buy killed by the numbers on a framework, which cant cope it it. beggers belief the start runs parallel with Green Park, which wasnt used in any way shape or form.

In short: My first 10k so I enjoyed it, didn't know what to expect I am a Londoner who lives away now donor was great for me. The baggage area and organisation was awful, some people didn't get medals some took two?!
In full: Even for my first run I found dodging the huge amount of walkers very annoying, I started 45 minutes after the gun, I have seen some runners have no results either, for £50 I would o liked to see more but I was one of a few or seems who got race pack on time right size shirt had a great run and day and got a medal and commemorative t shirt. I will do again but get closer to the front on the start next time.
