In short: Excellent organisation.
In full: The course itself has the potential for a PB but this year the remnants of Huricane Dean faced you on your return 5K. A challenge greater than the weights room in the gym.
It certainly blew away the cobwebs. Well done to the police and the support team.

In short: Good value, well organized and recommended.
In full: A great race for both beginners and experienced runners. Some PB potential if the weather is kinder than it was this year. Well worth entering. Many thanks to JD the organizer.

In short: Will Definitely do it again next year.
In full: Struggled on the latter half due to the blustery wind but really enjoyed and will definitely be back next year. Would have liked to have seen markers after every K as I need the motivation, but then again had my head down and was puffing and panting so I may very well have just missed them. Really like the fact that they gave me my time as I passed the line and the goody bag was good too. And yes I agree - the Great Wales run could learn a thing or two as the difference in price is considerable. Many Thanks

In short: The strong wind made it harder than usual, but otherwise an excellent eveng.
In full: Good route, not too challenging but the strong wind (sure it was August and not November?) prevented it being the fast race it could have been. That wind must have added a few minutes to our times. Excellent organisation and a welcoming atmosphere. The best 7 quid's worth this year - take note, the BUPA "Great Runs" folks - you can organise an excellent 10k for less than £25. Well done S Wales coppers. I'll certainly be back next year but maybe you can arrange for the wind to pipe down a bit!

In short: Very well marshalled - Thanks Merthyr Constabulary. Any chance of a bit less wind next time?
