In short: Spot on !!
In full: A challenging course, but glorious Essex countryside and loads of shady roads. Had an excellent time and achieved a P.B.
It was slicker than a big city marathon.

In short: Oh . . . but for the blister . . . I could have got sub 3:30 . . . next time eh!
In full: This was an interesting route, which included a second loop of much of the first 15 miles. A few sharp hills to test your mettle! I got a hot spot, which became a very nasty right forefoot blister by ten miles. I taped it up and went on to complete - which was a challenge. I would like to come back next year.

In short: Simply a great day
In full: Four weeks after London, this was quite a contrast - 250-odd runners instead of 35,000, glorious countryside instead of Docklands - and all the better for it. Very friendly throughout, well-organised and a few "undulations" to make you feel you've earned your medal! I'll be back for more next year.

In short: Very well-organised and well-staged event. Friendly and encouraging marshalls all round the course. Hardly any traffic to worry about. Plenty of drink stations. Lots of friendly Forum faces, before, during and after the event. Thank you Halstead AC

In short: An excellent alternative to the FLM
In full: This was my first visit to Essex and well worth the trip. The organisation and marshalling was excellent and friendly and although sparse, the spectators were equally enthusiastic. I also needed the services of St. John's Ambulance volunteers after I crossed the finish line, and really appreciated the effort that they put in when assisting at these sort of events.
