In short: Everything I thought a cross country race should be: Mud, puddles, hills, styles. Loved it and certainly have to comment on the organisation as it ran liek clockwork In full: I saw the review in RW for this race last year and was intrigued. Having run it last weekend I'll definitely be back for more in 2011. Worthing Striders definitely live up to their Friendly Running Club tag. The race was well organised and the marshalls were fantastic. I loved slipping, sliding and splashing my way found the Patching/Angmering country side and the last run down the hill to the finish is particularly rewarding. I also have a good definition "undulating" now:) Thanks to all who made this race possible. We had a great time. Date of review: December 7, 2010

In short: New Runner questions existence of God in ploughed field.... In full: The thing I noticed most about this race, my first ever x-country, was how often you noticed a country church, just as your feet were sinking shin deep into a ploughed field.
Divine intervention didn't help me finish this race, but the encouragement and humour of the wonderful Worthing Striders marshals definitely did.
A year ago, with no races under my expanding belt, and no interest in running any, if You had told me that I'd be lining up at a race that STARTS with a 1k climb, in 1 degree centigrade, wearing tights, the day after all the snow in Sussex had melted on this particular course, AND that I'd love every second of the much closer to 2 hours than 1 hour it took me to run, well I'd have called you crazy.
Last night, before i settled into 90 minutes of deep sleep before my aching 'muscles' woke me up i kept seeing flashes of coloured lycra in front of my eyes. This morning, no joke, I am suffering from 'Angmering Park tree root withdrawal symptoms'. This evening I have entered a race called the Steyning Stinger Half without knowing a damn thing about it.
Worthing Striders, marshals, volunteers, Police and most of all -you kids with chocolates - Thank You for an unforgettable day.
See you next time. Date of review: December 6, 2010

In short: Mud Glorious Mud In full: This was my second outing at the DPW and it certainly didn't disappoint. Mud and lots of it made it a great race. Marshals were brilliant as were the post race refreshments. Will definitely be back for more in 2011. Date of review: December 5, 2010

In short: Mud Mud Mud In full: I entered this race on the day as an alternative to my long run. The course was very muddy but added to my enjoyment of the race. The marshalling and signage on the course was superb. The organisation was excellent. Would have preferred a medal to another mug but my preference. I will be back for more next year. Well done Worthing Striders for putting on another successful race. Date of review: December 5, 2010
