In short: One of the best races I've ever done. I hadn't planned to finish as I hadn't done adequate training but it was a glorious day and a gorgeous course so I couldn't give it up! Fantastic, please do it again in 2013.
In full: Only downside : as one of the last finishers there wasn't much left by the time I'd showered and changed and I only found out about the free bar from the reviews on here! I shall know for next time! Please run another one Red Bull.

In short: Incredible race in an incredible location
In full: Wow! Red Bull did a great job of creating a great new event and I love the way that they did it with a nod to the heritage of steeplechase and fell running!

Things to keep:
- the entrants (invite this year's finishers back!)... it seemed like they picked people who'd entered challenging events before and it really paid off. There was comradery and sportsmanship all the way round, good laughs and great competition.
- the added extras, such as the wonderful top and medal, the lunch afterwards, and sending us a box of Red Bull before the race!
- the course - stunning scenery, varied terrain, perfect location, amazing!

Things to improve (these are minor quibbles in an almost perfect race!):
- double-check the signage (we went the wrong way on a couple of occasions where there was no marshal/sign!) and course measurement
- extra drinks stations mid-way through the longer (1st and 3rd) stages would be great (also some carbs (even a banana!) in the goodie bag)
- most marshals did a great job (thank you!!) but some seemed disengaged

All-in-all, a tremendous run and let's hope we get to see it again!! Thank you so much Red Bull!

In short: The best
In full: Stunning organisation from Red Bull; the only thing they didnt give you was wings (which could have been useful when up to my ankles in Peaks mud). Toughesr run i've done in 30 years of running, but with stunning scenery thrown in.
My advice: dont enter if you weigh more than 9 stone, think the Chilterns are steep, will be upset if your legs scream at you for 3 days afterwards.

In short: Absolutely stunning event! Toughest and most painful race I've ever done combined with impeccable organisation and hospitality.
In full: Very brave and novel concept of racing steeple to steeple with devil take the hindmost at each checkpoint. Thrilling course facing the best and hardest the peak district has to offer. Being lucky enough to have run in rift valley in Kenya, rainforests in Oz, Himilayas in Nepal and snow mountains Canada have to say rising through the low cloud and breaking in to glorious sunshine on ridge on Mam tor was as good as it gets, sent shivers down the spine.

Still pulling thorns out of my hands, gashes on my bum trying to slide down steep banks, cuts on elbows crashing into stiles, aching in every muscle in my body...I wonder how this event is getting a PB potential as high as 20%!?

Organisation first class, no stone unturned to make this very complex format run smoothly, unparalleled reception in beautiful square. Bean bags, great free food and bar, excellent goody bag quality hoody and towel and medal. Rumour that they will roll this format out to 1000 runners next year, sign up as quick as you can!

In short: Hard as the hills it is made from and equally as beautiful
In full: After finishing, I stopped and looked realising I had run those hills, a feeling that will last for a long time.
I enjoyed all of this experience, the chill out tent at the start, the mind blowing scenery, the leg blowing climbs, the hair raising decents, the sheer scale of the organisation, to mark 22miles (by my garmin anyway) over this terrain is incredible.
£25 is enough for a race but this is the most value from any race, goody bag, red bull, band, the chip timing (although I think this will be an area they seek to improve), hog roast, free bar but most of all the organisation
Thank you all involved

In short: Brilliant, Brutal, ouch
In full: A gerat race, the course was brutal which pobably explained the number of people who didn't start which was a great shame. (i would have liked to haev made it to the 3rd cut off, and might have if the numbers were greater)
It is by far the toughest running event i have ever done, but i can't wait for the next one.

In short: Most beautiful and rewarding race I've done - but tough course and not for first timers
In full: Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic trails and a really unique competitive aspect that got the blood pounding! I utterly loved it. The race itself was truly stunning with incredible scenery. The after party was awesome (best brownies ever) and I shall be proudly wearing my hoody everywhere! Please please do this again, Red Bull!
PS whilst amazing, this was a tough course. Some people really seemed to struggle through a lack of preparation - eg not wearing trail shoes. I wouldn't recommend it of you haven't done a trail race or two before, simply because you probably won't enjoy it quite as much!

In short: Incredible race, scenery and atmosphere. Plus suffering and mud!
In full: Wonderful race. I think I ran the whole way on adrenaline. Tough course with mud and steep hills the whole way. But atmosphere was fantastic and very well organised with lots of support. The knockout aspect made it exciting and made me suffer, but all worth it. Finish excellent- great beer garden, brass band and friendly people. Real feel good factor to it.
