In short: If that was the less hilly version I am pleased I did not run the old course.
In full: Shocking weather for the whole time of the race. The marshalls standing out in this weather were brilliant. The encouragement they gave all the runners around me was excellent. Found the long hill up to the finish very hard work especially as I was shattered.
Loved eating the pudding on Xmas day certainly a big attraction to do it again next year.

In short: Brill "Pud", Average "Race"
In full: If I was cold and wet through then a big thank you to the marshalls, especially those who cheered us on despite, is well deserved. Didn't like the new route at all, and that had nothing to do with the hills (faster, flatter course? my a**e!) or the weather.

In short: Matthew Walker Chrismas pudding that you get when crossing finishing line is better than any medal or tee-shirt1
In full: I have run this race many times; the change of course this year, together with the weather, made the going quite tough, although this could be down to my personal fitness at moment (?). Apart from the lack of changing/shower facilities, this is a very well organised run and if you have not run it before, worth including on your 2008 race calendar.

In short: To hilly
In full: Not my kind of race. I'm to big and heavy to be running up those hills. A lack of changing and shower facilities were made all the more dissapointing due to the horrid weather.
That said, a great big thankyou must go to the brave marshals who did a fantastic job, and for the very tasty Christmas Pud.

In short: Very good race marred by very bad weather!
In full: I take my hat off to the marshalls who volunteered to stand out in such cold wet weather and cheered us on. I'm a seasoned runner but I can't remember many races where I've felt so cold and wet whilst running. Although the new course was said to be flatter there were some testing hills, particularly the long drag near the end of the race. I like the idea of a Christmas pudding rather than yet another T-shirt or medal for finishing.

In full: A good race, very well organised and marshalled, shame about the weather but good for running in, stops you getting too hot. WELL DONE, see you next year.

In short: My first 10k race and boy the horrible weather made it tough! Marshalls were fantastic and the course quite challenging but enjoyable.
