In short: Not very well organised, marshalls need more info.
In full: Marshalls didn't even know where the start was, needed signs to the number collection point most who turned up either went in to the shop or in to the trade show, the old fella must have been going crazy, opening and shutting the doors.

The run.
We went through an industrial estate, lots of space but no eye candy then uphill on path/road, a good challenge for a beginner. Then on to a trail, a little rough, almost worth having trail running shoes on for that part. The last hill up to the finish was a killer, by the end one or two couldn't walk or were sick. The hill really did some of us in.

Massage before and after was great, thanks.
And the Christmas pud also good, cheers.

Marshalls, signage & chips for next year then i'd say it would run 10 times better.

In short: First 'race' I've done and found all very welcoming. Would definately do it again. Quite hilly in places, but this makes the down hill sections all the more pleasant.

In short: Nicely organised, local race, challengingly undulating
In full: A non-chip race, but nicely organised. Initially around the industrial estate and then on to the main road until you turn into the more scenic park. A 2mile gradual hill starting at the end of the first mile then nicely downhill until the last mile or so with 2 smaller uphill bits over the last mile or so for the final challenge. Tough on the last hill, but I was able to keep going and was more than happy with 56:26

In short: Great Race
In full: This was my second year at this race, and managed a decent PB, despite not being a typical PB course.

A decent challenging course with plenty of up's and downs.

Well organised as usual, well done Heanor. I'll be back in 2011.
