In short: Not too bad.
In full: Not too bad a race, a couple of roads to cross, the marshalls were great!

a good selection of snacks available at the end, the medal was ok, with the option of engraving for a modest fee.

A good value race that I would do again.

In short: Great organisation, route fine, goodies nice! PB done
In full: Well organised, enough toilets, easy to collect chip and drop off bag, the music and the pre race warm up was a nice touch seeing as it had been raining 10 minutes before and people looked miserable! Didn't notice the wind, hill was over before I had time to worry about it, lots of food and drinks at the end and results up immediately. Managed to get a PB too, will be back.

In short: Tough course, rubbish medal
In full: Too windy high up on the common to hear the instructions through the megaphone, this wind also hindered my first 1k and my last 2k as it seem to be pushing me back no matter what direction I was running in...the incline between 5k and 6k is a bloody killer, really took it out of me....yet I still managed a PB?!? A race full of good intentions but not very well organised. Nice crowd though and scenic route. Quiet marshalls apart from one who give me a very encouraging high five!!

In short: Enjoyable run.
In full: I actually live near the commom and run on it a lot, so it seems weird to pay to do it, but having said that, it makes a big diffrence running with 700 other people. So much more enjoyable. Very good organisation, and it all went smoothly. Only criticism would be that with the whole common to run on, why was only a fraction of the run on it, the rest on pavements besides fairly busy roads away from the nice scenery. Nice medal with some freebies, and the marshalls did a very good job, especially at road crossings. Well done. The hill, whilst slowing most people down a bit, isn't a terrible hill, and with a little hill practice shouldn't creat too many problems. In fact my mate took 30 seconds off his PB! Cant be bad.

In short: Great Organisation - Well worth getting up for!!!
In full: This event was very well organised. Done quite afew of Energized events and they all seem to run like clock work! Loads of marshalls and so encouraging - thank you! Easy Chip collection, baggage storage, and start went on time - presentation was a nice touch with medal podium too.. Cant see how they can look into improving road safety as pedestrians also have right of way. They cant do much about people coming round the corners!! what do you expect - road closures!! Well done Energized!

In short: Challenging, but well worth the effort. Safety and crowd support need attention.
In full: Route was challenging, with strong winds and a long uphill that never made up for going down in the first place. Great overall, though virtually no cheering public to help spur us on. This was left to the marshalls, especially one at about 8.5K. THANK YOU!
One important point however, while nice to run through Wimbledon Village it was very dangerous, and I came wafer close to being knocked into passing traffic by two unsuspecting pedestrians who came round a blind corner at the same time as me. This is an accident waiting to happen and the route needs to be amended here.

In short: Great race - Tough hill
In full: Very good race. Well organised, encouraging martials and bang on 10km (according to my gps). Martials were very good, didn't habe to stop onece for traffic or pedestrians and I loved the martial at about 8.5km - I think he was American - he was going nuts, he was great craic! I agree that a fairly big hill (and stiff wind today) makes this not great for pb potential but a very enjoyable and well run race none the less.

In short: Nice. No major issues
In full: There are tougher courses about, but it certainly wasn't one of the easier ones due to the long hill in the middle.

I thought the marshalls did a very good job managing the traffic, and they were also very encouraging. I didn't really notice any impatient drivers where I was in the pack.

I was impressed that it started almost on time and thought that the portaloo queues were absolutely fine. About the right number of runners took part.

In short: Delightful run around pretty Wimbledon with one massive hill
In full: On the coldest day in May I can ever remember due to the strong cold wind, more shelter would have been welcomed.

The organisation was good - baggage, chips, loos all fine. The course is very pretty and takes you around the common and Wimbledon back streets. Delightful. The massive hill came earlier than I was expecting, between 5k and 6k, and is very challenging, but also very satisfying once you're at the top.

I did see one competitor who kept needlessly running on the road when the pavement was empty and I think the marshalls should have challenged him about that, just for his own safety.

And I think there should have been more marshalling near the finish line to make the route to the finish line clearer. I followed the people in front and we all went wrong and added metres and metres to the race, adding on time. I feel a bit disappointed about that even though I wasn't going to get a pb.

But I very much enjoyed the race and look forward to doing it again.

In short: Well organised, friendly event
In full: Enjoyable event, even taking into account the hill halfway through. Well marshalled ~ they do a pretty good job managing the traffic seeing as the roads are not closed.

Have been to a number of events where the marshalls appear to have no interest in being there but one of the marshalls in this run came up to chat for a good few minutes at the end to see how it went, whether I enjoyed it, did I get a PB etc. A welcome positive after running a disappointing time.

Will definitely do this run again.
