In short: An excellent race, and thought the marshalls were very supportive.

In short: 'Goody bag' was criminal. Just a T-shirt in a huge non-biodegradable sack. Why not just give out the T-shirt? Water stations poorly manned and organised.

In short: Enjoyed the course though the finish on the boggy school field wans't ideal.
In full: Enjoyed the rest of the course though - undulating with nice scenery once you've past the coking plant! Traffic in places but no problem - beat my pb by over a minute so well chuffed!

In short: Hills to Challenge
In full: Enjoyed this race and was glad i made the trip, Yes the hills are tough, the one at 5 miles went on and on and....... But in the end i managed a new PB and my first time under 40mins, so the route was fair, we had plenty of downhill as well. The organisation seemed to help the race run well and all in all i would recommend and run again.

In short: Excellent 10km
In full: After 3 years away from the running scene in Barnsley, returned to my old training ground of Royston. An excellent course, the hills are great. Dont change to a borin flat course, plenty of them about. Well orgainised and well done to Binney for keepin everyone in check at the start. Will be back next year.

In short: Very pleasant race!
In full: I'd read the reviews and was concerned the 'undulations' would be too much for me, as a relative beginner. But, no need to worry - this is a really great run - I thoroughly enjoyed it! It does have the feel of a village event but there are obviously runners from all over the north (I'd travelled from Rochdale). And please, next year give the poor starter a megaphone - it's been mentioned before and i'll mention it again, unless your stood within 15 feet of him at the start, you ain't hearing nothing. It was a disappointment there was no water at the end (i'd finished in 54 minutes and had 200m odd behind me!) but this was no great issue personally. All in all i'd definately return next year but can the organisers try and re-route to avoid the coking plant. It really does stink!!

In short: First time doing this race and will be back next year. Roads were good and very nice to run on, no major hills but a few challenging inclines, at the start and then around 5 miles. All in all a very good race for all runners

In short: Great race, as always. Please make chips easier next year.
In full: Done this now for 3 consecutive years and it was very good again. Helped by nice weather. My only comment would be to change the chips; they were very fiddly. Otherwise, good stuff.
