In short: Mud, Mud oh and very special puddles
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed it, nice a nd friendly and as has been said wet feet before you even started. The mud was clay like and oh soooo slippery. The phrase still waters run deep has never been so apt, I didnt not expect the puddle to come to my chest especially being 6 foot

In short: Mud, mud, glorious mud... and a very cold soaking wet walk through icy water to start
In full: I loved it. Mud and all. Friendly people and supportive marshalls. Beautiful scenery. Gruesome mud and bottomless puddles - yes I fell in. We all did. Great fun.

In short: Very very wet and muddy but excellent fun!
In full: Some surprisingly deep puddles, and an awful lot of sliding in the mud due to much rain in the last week. Very friendly marshalls and a great atmostphere - would definitely do again, but would pray for a drier course!

In short: This is the 2nd time I have taken part, and once again I was so pleased to make it to the finish still intact!
In full: Well organised event, even though I don't know who ordered all that water at the start - it was a bit excessive!!!

In short: I only fell into the mud 4 times!
In full: What an excellent race! (ok so I came fourth from last) but I dont really care. I think there should be a prize for the person who falls down in the mud the most, for that I would probably win........

Thanks for organsing this Marlborough, the I hated it whilst going through the first stretch of "swamp", but by the second batch I was smiling whilst falling.

Obviously not a race to get a PB from, but an enjoyable morning.

A word of warning to anyone looking to do this next year - dont wear new trainers. Some people where wearing football boots and I would say that was quite a good shout.
