In short: Great scenery, shame about the water quality/ quantity.
In full: This was my 4th half marathon. I found the public and marshall support great, and the scenery superb. The weather was perfect too. However, for an event securing corporate sponsorship from the likes of Mc Donalds, it was curious there was no water. The whole field were completely dehydrated at the finish and were offered water out of buckets! I was so ill from this contaminated water I could not bathe until the next day. Extremely irresponsible organisation.

In short: A fantastic race, big field, great scenery.
In full: Lots of small undulations in the race. Starts in worksop and quickly goes into Clumber park. For me the only bad bit was the straight lane by the side of the golf course but only because I had to run it breathing petrol fumes. (I think I was knackered by then so lost my sense of humour). It was great that shortly after that you hit the down hill section to the finish.
I plan to do this race as many years as I can.

In short: Didn't run the race myself, did the organising and results etc, but this is my rating for the 2004 event
In full: Event was an overall sucess, an overwhelming majority of competitors enjoyed the course and its scenery. A few had comments with regards correct size T-Shirts and Water running out towards the end, toilet facilities and signage at HQ. Rest assured these points are receiving our upmost attention.
We look forward to seeing you all in October 2005.
