In short: Great Half-Marathon through beautiful scenary
In full: This was my first half-marathon and despite running out of stream at 11 miles I throughly enjoyed it. There was no major problems and the pre race info (regarding parking etc) was excellent. Loved the chip timing and the fact it was traffic free. Afterwards it was great to be emailed a link to photos taken on the day.

Having your name on the back of the t-shirt (if you entered early enough) was a nice touch but personally I'd still prefer a medal!

Thanks to all the marshalls, organisers etc.
Heres to next year!

In short: Great autumn race with PB potential
In full: A little hilly in early miles but nothing to be unduly worried about, especially with the last mile being downhill. Number collection on the day was no problem. Roads mostly completely closed off & Clumber Park looked great in the sun. Will be back & recommend to others

In full: Well organised start. Good course which challenges the beginner, Marshalls could have been more encoraging some just looked bored and were talking to each other and not really showing much interest.
No water for slower runners at final water station which was disappointing.

In short: top race...again!
In full: nothing unexpected here, just the usual quality race with a good mix of runners, top organisation, plenty of marshals, drinks stations etc...it comes as standard for the worksop half marathon!..well done yet again!

In short: Thumbs up again! Friendly, great scenery and challenging course!
In full: Love coming back to this - have been travelling from Wales over the last few years for this race. It's definitely the scenic one once you get through the climb in the first mile. It's well organised from beginning to end and commands friendliness compared to big city half marathons. It's excellent value for money too. Have no issues with the water stops or cups, maybe its due to years of practice at this event! Definitely one to try if you want to do a half.

In short: Good scenic run with plenty to keep you interested
In full: Well organised & a nice course.
A few hills but - without the strong winds - there could be pb potential for some.

In short: Cheap local race in nice country park
In full: Blimey, I'd been warned about the killer hill at the beginning - to be honest, it wasn't that bad. The worst bit was the wind, but with a lovely autumn sun it was quite a pretty run through Clumber Park.
However, the 3rd water station was packed up when and seemed to have run out after 2 hours which was disappointing.
I wasn't sure about picking the numbers up on the day but it went quite smoothly, even though I'd forgotten to bring my number with me!
The finishers tshirt is unbelieavably yellow, I won't be wearing it near any wasps!

In short: Super race, Loved every bit of it!!!
In full: I am always dubious about collecting numbers on the day but this worked like clockwork due to the great organisation and superb people power! Other so-called superior race organisations should take note! Super course which keeps you on your toes, but is defo a pb course. Some long straights which make you know you hav done the 13 miles!!! Could not think of a better place to have an autumn race. Water stations well manned and good support from marshalls, also a nice town centre start and finish. Everyone was very helpful around the course, it is great to see a club putting on such a great race which must be one of the best value for money races in England. I love my T-shorts and this ranks highly. All i all absolutely superb race, well done Worksop Harriers!!
