In short: A great race for a great hospital - well worth entering as they deserve the sponsorship money. There is one steepish hill and another slow raising slope, so it will push you.

In short: Finish funnel was worst end to a race I have ever experienced and I would not do this race again unless the arrangements at the finish were arranged properly

In short: It's for Charidy!
In full: Good race - a touch hot, and some inclines I didn't know existed, but on the whole a splendid morning of charidy running. My only comment would be that the some of the markers (esp. 3km) were well wide of the mark.

In short: Still an excellent evernt & for a good cause
In full: Same as last year - 3rd time on the trot for me "Great local event. Smallish but still with some nice touches. Not the flatish of courses, challenging but enjoyable all the same. Good support at the finish. Nice fun run beforehand. All for a good cause" - Well done to all the volunteers. If the runners keep growing in numbers then they need to look at the start & rough timing positions.

In short: 10k through leafy residential streets on a warm day
In full: This is one of those events where I can list a lot of things that could do with improvement, compared to just a few things that went well, but despite this say overall it was well organised, great value for money and for a very good and deserving cause, and above all, good fun.

The race was great value for money (£12) and for a charitable cause, so I would not expect some of the features offered by more commercially oriented races such as chip timing, goody bags, closed roads managed by the police etc to be in evidence. There are a few minor things that could be sorted, including managing the start better separating the rabbits and tortoises - people joining from the front, and without prominent estimated time boards did result in a few slower ones in the wrong place - however the Portsmouth Road was wide enough to allow me to easily pass slower runners. However not having enough medals for finishers, especially kids in the fun run, is a very big tut-tut (however they did promise to post medals to those who did not get one).

There were a few nice touches as well - for example, free massages. There was a lot of support at the start and finish, and some enthusiastic locals on route (special mention to the chap who had his garden sprinkler on the road for us to run through - double credit if he is on a water meter!). And free parking. And a very informative tannoy.

Overall, the organisation ran well for such an event (they enlisted the local Park Run mob to help) and hopefully it raised a lot of money for a very deserving cause, which ultimately is the reason for race.

Many thanks to all, especially the Rotary club members, the Park Run helpers and the ATC.

In short: Fast despite the hills
In full: I was supposed to be running Brighton Marathon today but at 20 weeks pregnant had to defer to 2012 so chose to run Frimley for the second year in a row. This is a pleasant run around Camberley and Frimley, the roads aren't closed but it doesn't seem to cause huge problems. The start "funnel" was again a bit chaotic this year trying to enter it from the front. The first few roads are so wide we decided to start at the back and overtake two thirds of the field on the way round.

It's not flat by any means, there's a hill at around 3km that keeps on going and going... round the corner and up again! Still, this feels a fast course to me, 48 mins in 2010, 51 mins in 2011 with a baby on board!

There isn't a lot of support en route, much of the course takes in quiet, leafy residential areas. Thank you to the family who had laid their sprinkler out!

The finish funnel was different this year and seemed a lot slower, being sure to stay in finishing order before being given a sticker then being called to a table to have your race and finish numbers recorded... all before receiving any water. Seemed a bit long winded compared to last year!

In short: Good race with a good mix
In full: I enjoyed today as I am just getting back into running after a year off. I last did this 3 years ago after it was cancelled by snow about the same time as today!

I was just out to improve my running and the hills helped me focus. I will do it again next year as its for a good cause and its a bit of a challenge!

In short: good course
In full: the Start line is a bit hectic as there are over 1000 runners going down a small narrow road, also the marker guides ie Runners sub 40 runners sub 45 signs where a bit to too close to each other.
The course is a bit Hilly but that is not pointed out in the Runner's world events profile, but overall it's a good course and would do it again
