In short: Always a pleasure
In full: An excellent local 10Km - for a great cause too. Liked the introduction of chip-timing. Well done to those who helped to put on this event. Roll on next year..

In short: Good Race
In full: It was a very nice race. I struggled to drink water from a plastic cup at speed at the water station but the atmosphere rivalled the bigger events and it's a very worthy cause.

In short: Well organised - and for a good cause
In full: Having a short fun run prior to the 10k made this a really good family event with a lovely atmosphere. And hopefully the hospital has made a shedload of dosh from it!

Despite the hills, I managed to take over 30 seconds off my PB, and the long downhill bits meant I was able to get 2 consecutive sub-4 minute kilometres - another first!

The only thing I would change would be the start - getting people to join from the front means too many "tortoises" at the front getting trampled and bumped, however the wide Portsmouth Road gave plenty of space to overtake.

Excellent medal, but a very sparse goody bag, but I would rather the money go to the baby unit rather than tat.

In short: A decent 10K
In full: Hard to say that much about this race. Apart from a congested start, organisation was good. Course was a bit more undulating than I expected, but nothing too difficult. Marshalls could have been a bit cheerier. I ran to get a benchmark 10K time for the start of the spring/summer, and would do so again.

In short: A special race
In full: A good race for runners and fun runners a like. All the money goes to a good cause so its a lovely race to be a part of. Chip timing, sports massage, bag drop, all you would expect from a club race. The support around the start and finish was amazing, really really good and suprising, I think anyone would enjoy it, well marshalled too. I'll definitely try and run it again.

In short: Well Done Frimley Park Hospital
In full: It was all about the fund-raising in truth. The hospital hopefully made a lot of money, and deservedly so. The organisation was improved on last year, and the inclusion of chip-timing and a very swanky medal will ensure those who ran this year return in 2013.

PB for me, and good runs for lots of fellow Windle Valley chums. Sad I won't be around next year.
