In full: a well organised race, not as flat as they claim but not too frightening for beginners.not sure about the medal-different but not to everyones taste and just a bottle of water to finish-a banana or energy bar is a must for me after 13 miles.overall though I can recomend the race to anyone for next year.one slight complaint, why start the race at the bottom of the hill and finish at the top?why not start and finish halfway up which would knock est 20 secs off my time Date of review: October 28, 2012

In full: Very pleasent people running the show/at the start camp and great to see locals come out for no other reason than to cheer you on. Scenery quite nice, lots of countryside, no hills, lumps maybe but hill is not an appropriate term. PB potential as there are long, straight flats. Food at the start camp is cheap and varied.
Biggest let down was the 'medal' it was piece of reclaimed wood with a cheap ribbon pulled through a hole and tied. It looks like a child made it during primary school woodwork class. truly awful and not exactly something that serves to remind you of how well you did, more something that you;d rather not have to look at. It's even poorly cut/shaped! Very disappointing after the effort you put in to finish the course with a pb! Date of review: October 25, 2012

In short: My local race so of course I'll do it again. Shame about the lack of road closures - some roads were partially closed to traffic but it still poured on down. Date of review: October 24, 2012

In short: Great Race, Great support - horrible industrial estate! In full: Great route, apart from the mile loop added on through an industrial estate. Loses marks on aesthetics just for that (doesn't help that I ran past work!). Excellent support, jelly babies and water being handed out by locals was a nice touch. Cars and runners on roads at the same time was a little worrying for a race of this size. Strange Balsa wood thing as a prize, more advert than Medal... Date of review: October 22, 2012

In short: worth the trip In full: We had a five hour round trip from North Devon to get up for this race. It was worth it for me as I got a PB. Course relatively flat with the occasional small hill. Marshals very friendly and encouraging when I went past them. The industrial estate bit was made a bit better with the band at the entrance. I'd probably do the race again if my missus would agree to another 5.30 start Date of review: October 22, 2012

In short: Well organised race In full: Fantastic organisation, brilliant marshalls excellent support. Course is mainly flat but there are climbs along the way. Main road A48 section was not enjoyable, cars to close and inconsiderate to runners and therefore could not safely overtake slower participants. Wooden medal at the end was very disappointing, wished I had the childrens silver mile medal. Will do it again next year. Thank you Stroud AC and Stroud Town. Date of review: October 22, 2012
