In short: Shame about the finish
In full: You need to get here early as the village gets completely clogged after 10.00 am. The main car park seemed to be full of caravans this year. Was expecting to have to pay for parking as the pack specifically metioned it but nobody collected the money.Wouldn't have minded paying. The finish was really bad this year - it was difficult actually getting over the line and to the water and tee shirts - liked the design, they were better than last year. Getting away after the event was easier this year but I suspect this was because we stopped for an ice cream rather than just shootong off.

In short: nice race let down by poor organisation
In full: positives: friendly race in pretty town and rural route; good PB potential; chip timing; results posted quickly;
negatives: poor org'n (not acceptable after this many years and when paying for it): no clear direction to overspill parking or how to walk to start (had to help lady with buggy over a gate); finding late entry desk - and disorg there; dodging cars km 6-8; end area chaos; white tshirt!, no medal; INACCURATE measurement (not accept - last km was long; how difficult is it to measure?).
Will i do it again - yes!
Would be nice if part of route were through the town!

In short: Could be great race, but please, please, please sort out finish area
In full: I really like this race. It's local, friendly and has a huge amount of PB potential. But I've done it three times now, and every time the finish area has really let it down. Come on Woodhall, please sort it out.

In short: organised chaos at the end
In full: its local to me so not to be missed but like others have noted - bad t shirt and expensive for what it is. the organised chaos at the end was the worst i have seen but im a newbie with only about 9 races to my name. i got a pb so it cant be a hard course and i scored it accordingly. nice to have a couple of water stations en route as well as at the end, and i like medals so was a bit miffed when the fun runners got one and 10ks didnt. A medal is a keepsake - a t shirt is a duster next year :)

In short: Was disappointed but........
In full: have since contacted the race organiser who will gladly swap the same t-shirt as I got last year for one of the new designs. :)

In short: Expensive race for a cheap T shirt
In full: Well organised, no major problems although water etc a bit of a free for all at the end. I finished top 100 so no hassle for me. The water and T shirt areas need moving further away.
We do need warning about the long walk from the overspill car park though, for late comers could be a problem.
I do think the prize list needs increasing, they stopped at M60+ and F50+, there are a lot of older good runners out there who should be catered for. 36 runners from my club Wolds Vets, any club beat that!

In short: Country lanes with gentle climbs and descents mean that you'll get a respectable time in this race. Not much to see though, which is a shame when the town itself is lovely...
In full: Pros: An enjoyable race with some nice facilities in Jubilee Park; chip timing; some handily placed water stations for those who want them; supportive race-marshalling; free overflow parking; quick results service.

Cons: Very congested start and tight finishing area; poorly placed chip collection; ridiculous marshalling of queues for parking this year which meant a massive traffic jam through the centre of the town... 1 person stopping the car to tell you that the next person had something to tell you (which was that overflow parking was being used) when all that was required was a set of traffic cones and some arm-waving which would have resulted in a free flow of traffic.

On the whole though, and enjoyable day and I'd run again.

In short: flat rural 10k
In full: I really like this event and keep coming back each year. The field is big enough to provide some atmosphere but not large enough to congest the course. The route was well marshalled with frequent water stations and was mainly traffic free. The only minor gripe is that the 9km marker was set out about 1150m meters from the finish, but the course measured 10k on the Garmin so cant really complain!
