In short: Hard but enjoyable
In full: Weather conditions were excellent...overcast and not too hot.
Race was delayed by 30 minutes because water was too deep!
River Kent crossing was tiring (one metre deep for about 75 metres)
Obtained a PB of two hours one minute.

In short: Grand day out!
In full: Second time out on the sands - seemed a bit faster than last year (slightly shorter?). Would recommend this highly to those looking for something different.

In short: Lovely day. Lovely race!
In full: A great race! I found sand and sea-salt in places I didn't know I had places. Really friendly atmosphere, start and finished well organised. I think all the rain on Friday made the Kent channel wider (and slightly deeper?) than last year. Managed 22mins faster than last year though, so really pleased (it was bit shorter, but not that much!). Thanks to those around me at various points who unknowingly kept me going when I might otherwise have been tempted to walk more (notably the lady in orange, the 'light speed' man and the lady in white). Anyway, if you get the chance to do this race then do it - there's not another one like it!

In short: Loved it and will be back.
In full: This was my first race - 3 months training after > 25 years of non running so beware I have nothing to compare this to.

I loved it but found it a proper 'challenge' through various types of sand surfaces and the sea but nothing we weren't aware of.

I felt the people and organisation was great. I guess the only potential improvement would be ensuring there are enough cups left for those nearer the back. I personally can't drink out of a bottle when running and had to go without T a fair few drinks stations. More than made up for this at the real ale drink station though ;-)

In short: One of the best races of the year for me.
In full: I love this race. Everything about it. From the unique and often surreal surroundings to the solitude and the camaraderie. Please don't ever stop putting on this terrific race.

In short: Different, 'fun', friendly charity event.
In full: As a slow runner I was a bit apprehensive about this event, but I needn't have worried. Very flat and very wet. The sand is firm and I completed with no blisters or chaffing. 13.1[ish] miles with aquarobics thrown in. The organisation was smooth and volunteers very friendly. It was a good day out.

In short: Great experience
In full: Thanks to the organisers for this wonderful experience. Very well organised. If you want something a bit different, have a go at this. It's windy and wet, but a great atmosphere is created. Not a PB event, so go along just to enjoy the experience and the views across the bay.

In short: Wet but worth it!
In full: Excellent organisation, with coach transport to start, baggage storage, lots of friendly volunteers. Unique race across Morecambe Bay through tidal channels. Very wet! But good fun and luckily good weather today. Not a PB course at all but a great experience nonetheless. Thank you to all the volunteers who did a great job.
