In short: Well organised and terrific marshalsl In full: A tough challenging marathon made by the excellent organisation and the wonderful marshalls - even had wall to wall sunshine this year - a marathon all marathoners should tackle at least once ! Date of review: November 26, 2012

In short: Beautiful but brutal! In full: A real marathon runner's marathon - loved it. Ran Snowdonia on the day from hell back in '08 - and this was tougher. Hill after hill and glorious sweeping views of Bodmin Moor on top before dipping down and climbing again in the last few miles. The ascent from 24-25 seemed to go on for ever and scrape the big blue Cornish skies!! Thank God for the plunge into Pensilva to bring us all home. Gorgeous day, fantastic marshals, villagers and cyclists. The hot pasty at the end was the best I've ever tasted and a big thank you to the ladies who dished out tea and warm words at the Millennium Hall. A brilliant hoodie to boot and all this for half the price of the boring big city marathons. A pleasure and privilege to run in the Cornish, it's up there with the best in the country for me - a genuine gem, a treasured secret! Date of review: November 23, 2012

In short: This race made my year In full: This was my second marathon and only my 7th race and I loved it.
The event was well organised from start to finish, every one was friendly and welcoming, the supporters were cheerful which makes a huge difference to your state of mind when you get towards the end!!
I was on my own at the race as I am not a member of a club but at no point did I feel lonely or excluded which is a really big plus for the organisers.
The course is challenging but thats the point of endurance running isn't it?
Great atmosphere, fun, friendly and just stunning country side views (I live in the country side but this just takes your breath away, or is that the running?), I will definitely go again next year. Date of review: November 23, 2012

In short: Well organised, challenging, scenic, ups and downs, friendly, fabulous. In full: This was my 1 st marathon and it was great. Yes there are hills but the views are superb. All the marshals were really encouraging and there was a lot of support from cyclists along the route. A very nice hoody in my goody bag and free coffee and pasty if you could stomach it. This race is good value for money. Thanks organisers. Date of review: November 22, 2012

In short: Beautiful scenery, fantastic people , well organised In full: Yes there are a few hills but it is Cornwall.. I'm sure I'd get bored with running 26 on the flat anyway. This years hoodie was great, much more useful than a medal anyday of the week, good choice! Date of review: November 19, 2012

In short: Excellent race Get it done! In full: An embroidered hoody, post race Cornish pastie, cup of tea and a scenic run over the moors all for 20 quid. Can't beat it. I travelled down from Manchester for this race and would make the journey again next year. Quality. Date of review: November 19, 2012

In short: Plenty of ups and downs with this course; thankfully the organisation and weather were two of the ups I liked! In full: A testament that races organised by running clubs are general better that their commercially operated counterparts.
Distance markers every mile and sufficient arrow markers to ensure you never felt lost. Regular drink stops, enthusiastic marshals and official race cyclists to accompany you.
No medal at finish, but this was more than compensated by a quality hoodie and a hot pasty.
The rest of the goodie bag though was less impressive; 2 small chocolate bars, a balloon and an apple, and as such was bit of an anticlimax after the hoodie. But hey, a minor gripe when considering the value of the entry price.
The only other observation was that some of the roads were very narrow making it a challenge for the odd car to pass us, though most drivers seemed to thankfully pay due respect.
