In short: Excellent training race for London Marathon
In full: This was my first Hastings half marathon! It was a little daunting at first at entering this race because of the hills but had so many postive responses from other runners who had run it in previous years that I simply couldn't resist entering! I did really enjoy this challenging but very rewarding race and was excellent training for the marathon! :)

In short: Best Atmosphere & Support on any 1/2 Marathon Yet!
In full: If you want a taste of what the London Marathon has in store from an atmosphere and crowd support then this is one you should use as a prep for the Marathon! The course is challenging enough with the hills but the fans and atmosphere will overshadow any pain. The marathon will seem easier in many ways having done the Hastings Half!

In short: A top race and a definite for my diary next year!!
In full: Superb day out to the sea side! The atmosphere and wonderful crowd support is going to bring the best out of anyone! If you have family its well worth brining them down and making a day of it as I did and there is loads for kids to do whilst I was running and then long into the afternoon! The weather this year helped of course!! Very many thanks to the race organisers and marshalls - tremendous job!

In short: A rather large bump!
In full: Up for ages and then dooooowwwwnnnn. But the hardest bit I found was the long stretch along the seafront to the finish which seemed to last for ever! Still a brilliant race though, scenic & very well supported. An unusual horse brass medal at the finish too for all those mutleys out there! ;o)

In short: Challenging course, excellent crowd support!
In full: This was my first half marathon and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The course was challenging but the crowd support along the way was excellent and a real help. Scouts did a great job on the drink stations and at the finish. It was excellent that all the roads were closed for the duration. Liked the people outside the old folks home bashing their saucepans and bin lids. Great race - see ya next year.
