In short: Not a great race for a PB, long slow hills take it out of tired legs.
In full: Well organised, great mix of people, good value but not great scenery and long slow hills really took it out of me

In short: Don't talk to me about those hills!
In full: This was my first ever half marathon, although I've done longer training runs. Despite the hills and my dodgy hamstring I really enjoyed this race and I think the weather helped keep it cheery.

I was disappointed that a couple of the marshalls seemed unenthusiastic and as though they would much rather be somewhere else. At one point I stopped to ask one which way I was supposed to go as he hadn't bothered to direct as I was running towards him. On the other hand, there were some nice marshalls who were really helpful and smiling and encouraging - well done and many thanks to those!

I'd do this race again next year as I could do with those hill challenges before the FLM.

In short: My first half marathon so difficult to rate with nothing to compare with, but it's left me wanting more. It was well organised, small and very friendly so a good choice for novices. The course is quite hilly though.
