In short: Fairly average race, traffic on the course was a bit of a problem
In full: Stupid drivers - what's the rush. Surely you could wait a few seconds to let a runner past.

In short: Not very inspiring race and the marshalling left much to be desired - the road crossings were quite fun! It is a tiring undulating course early in the season, and for that reason alone, I would do it again next year.

In short: Great atmosphere, friendly marshalls, excellent training
In full: Very enjoyable run with challenging long hills. Enjoyed 2x big loop which helps pacing. Friendly marshalls and nice cafe in the clubhouse!

In short: Really tough course for beginner. But great atmosphere & well organised,
In full: I've never run this distance before (in training or a race), so it was always going to be a toughie. But boy did those 'undulations' take it out of my poor old legs! However, the cheery marshalls, locals and other runners kept me going. I even considered doing a lap of honour...well, maybe next time!
One suggestion - the marshalls doing traffic duty on Roding Lane seemed to be getting grief from unhelpful drivers - maybe the local constabulary could lend a Bobby or two to help out?

In short: challenging - good marathon warm up
In full: well organised & the marshalls did a brilliant job around the course, especially the marshalls who was doing the crossing system on the busy roads which for me worked well on both laps. Also the Mars Bar at the end was really needed!!

In short: Very tough but worth it!
In full: My first HM and very demanding but glad I did it. Found the hills very tough especially on the second lap of the large loop but made it to the finish in a respectable time. Might not do it again next year but definitely looking for another (much flatter) HM to do later this year.

Dissapointed that there were missing mile markers and the start was slightly shambolic but the marshals were great and a huge thanks to the power walker who got me motivated again at about mile 10!
