In short: One of those things you just got to do
In full: Brilliant crowds and street entertainments, loved the whole family atmosphere on the streets. A must-do. Getting very big now - so you're fighting against being boxed in all the way round - not for the claustrophobic. Very expensive entry fees.

In short: My 13th year in this event and it never seems to lose it's appeal. The downside is the entry fee, I even pay extra to guarantee my entry (GRN member). People are fantastic on the course throughout and the atmosphere is second to none.

In short: What can you say? It's the Great North Run! Everyone should do it once at least - the atmosphere alone means you'll remember it forever.

In short: It's the world's biggest. Nuff said.
In full: Don't run it for the PB, run it for the atmosphere, because the atmosphere is absolutely amazing.
