In short: Lovely flat course for my first 1/2 marathon. The start needs a bit of tinkering but the course was well signposted and the marshalling was great. Very cluby but I will be there next year for a faster time!

In short: Well organised, friendly race over a flat and scenic pb course.
In full: This is a genuinely fast course and in good running conditions I ran my best half for 8 years. A few minor glitches: no hooter at start (or it didn't work), one water station under-staffed, finish clock not working, temporary lack of water at finish. But generally very well organised with easy parking near the race HQ. Well marshalled and surprisingly good crowd support in the several villages. Well worth doing.

In short: 2 mins up on schedule at 10 miles and then my Achilles went - oh well, there's always next year!
In full: Very nice course with real PB potential, and just like it said on the tin, the only "real" hill was to get over the railway. Well organised and there was indeed lots of water at the finish!!

In short: PB for me 9 mins faster, but no water at the end for my souvenir mug!
In full: Great because it was as flat as promised and I made use of that with a special time. Met with Micknphil the Marathon lads which made my day - so inspiring (also deep respect for Tanni G-T). Shame there weren't more people taking part (only 380 of the 500 booked). It would also have been nice if there had been a bit more of a party atmosphere at the end it sort of fizzled out a bit (perhaps the party had finished by the time I got there!!!). All in all a great race that ran smoothly and I left feeling really good.

In short: Good fast prep for london
In full: Organisation was great and very well marshalled. Quite a fast race and felt like it was mostly club runners. However, not as flat as I expected. Whilst no hills to speak of there seemed a lot of long inclines (my knees let me know). Smashed my PB which was nice. Good prep for london.

In short: Rural, flat, fast and well-organised
In full: Very enjoyable race.
Organisation was really excellent, with easy parking, good marshalling and some nice touches like a well-designed award mug, a cake sale, plenty of changing and toilet facilities and even instant memento photographs. The only glitch was the clock at the end wasn't working, I think because the starter was a bit too keen to get us away. Official race times in the results were spot on though.
Course was largely flat but not quite car-free, so occasionally have to run on the cambered side of the road - no real problem. Nice rural scenery.
