In short: Good atmosphere - more water stations please
In full: No water station until after 8 miles - was a warm day and I would have struggled if I hadn't taken water with me. Other than that good organisation, friendly marshalling and positive, relaxed atmosphere.

In short: An urban half marathon taking in the sights of walthamstow and chingford
In full: The organisation and marshalling of the race was excellent. As roads were not closed off the marshalls were key in controlling traffic and there was good support from pesos too. It does pay to study the route because even as a local it had a few twisty turns sections. Shame the hill comes at the end and not the beginning! Great to have a local event for a really good cause.

In short: Nice run, mainly on streets, dodging traffic with a couple of decent up-hills, and a cream egg in the goodie bag!

In full: A really friendly and welcoming race. I took a friend who has only just taken up running and she was pleasantly surprised by how relaxed it all was. The marshals were fantastic. Mile markers would have been a great help.

In short: very friendly local race
In full: real down to earth feel as it was a small field. could have done with mile markers and only had paper direction signs in some places which gave the potential for people to go the wrong way - I had to shout to someone in front of me at one point as she had missed the direction sign.
Very well organised with the marshalls they had available and a very enjoyable race

In short: A good race for a good cause
In full: Much more water points needed. Mile markers also needed as runners we're asking stewards who, although very friendly and enthusiastic, we're unable to inform. This said, this was a very friendly race with a good challenge at the end and not busy either. All for a good cause!

In short: Nice local race. The course was a bit 'stop and start' in the first half with a lot of turns and crossings. Must say all the volunteers/marshals were top notch, really spurred everyone one. Nice t-shirt too! Will be back!

In short: Great day, but not enough water
In full: I had a great time running this 1/2 marathon as the weather was great and not too many runners joined this race. Even though we ran 13 miles next to busy roads on pavements, we all had enough space to run.

Unfortunately, I felt as though there were not enough water stops and was glad to have carried my own Camelbak with 2 liters of water in.

In short: Friendly race but basic mistakes
In full: This is a very friendly race, with lots of helpful stewards at the start and around the course.

However, the mile markers for the first few miles were not measured correctly (I don't run 6 minute miles normally!) and between miles 5 and 8 I saw no mile markers, which meant pacing my race was a nightmare.

Despite this I did enjoy it - it has a small local and friendly feel that overcomes the obstacles of running on the sometimes busy and not especially pretty streets. Different!
