In short: Too many rules
In full: Race organisers should inform participants BEFORE signing up and paying over their cash about all the rules - I was particularly annoyed not to be allowed to listen to ipod on this one especially as it was off road with no traffic

In short: Beautiful race
In full: Lovely 10k around the grounds of Polesden Lacey house. I went hoping to get a PB but soon realised that this was a vain hope as the hills started rolling in. A pretty punishing series of inclines which reminded me of cross country courses of my youth. Well marshalled and signed, would very much do it again.

In short: Will be back to see if we can beat the mud next time
In full: A halfway goal for me towards my first half marathon, this 10K race was my first, and I was surprised by the difficulty of the hills (having been described as undulating, I'd say this was definitely "hilly' but perhaps I have yet to experience worse!). But I still thoroughly enjoyed it, and didn't get too disheartened by having to walk for short periods. Great scenery, and a friendly atmosphere, I didn't feel intimidated as a newbie.

In short: Challenging but fun!
In full: This was the 1st 10K I have done and judging by other reviews not a typical one! We had a great day. Organisation was excellent and the marshalls brilliant. Yes it was wet and keeping traction was a problem in some places either up or down the steepest bits. The scenery made up for it however. Thumbs up all round I'd say

In short: Challenging but worth while for the views
In full: Enjoyed this run even though it was muddy and hilly. Great marshalls and signposting, glad to see 2 water stations. It will make me practise proper hills more often so they are not so hard.

In short: A great venue and excellent organisation; this was my first race and I thoroughly enjoyed it
In full: Though are they always as muddy!? Really well organised, everything was clear and simple for the newcomer, all were welcoming and polite.

Lovely venue and would definitely return. Yes it was hilly/steep/quagmirish in places but it was a gret challenge and a fun morning out.
